Did anyone ever read these books?  I read them years ago but I’m reading them again.  I really enjoy the historic aspect of these books.

        • Oh I love that series! I just re-read them this past year. I like historical fiction.

Here is my review for the first book in the series The Clan of the Cave Bear:

An engaging fictional account of history when Neanderthals and the Cro-Magnons shared the timeline. The story begins with the young girl Alya who lost her family in an earthquake. She is hungry, cold and injured—almost dead when she is picked up by a band of Neanderthals who are trying to find a new home. Alya is made part of the Clan although she is different. Ayla ends up in a constant struggle with the leader and next in line. Although she does win the hearts of many members of the clan including the woman that picked her up and the woman’s brother. The story follows her through growing up and learning the clan ways - ways to fit in and be valuable to them.

It is a page turner and one I have read many times over and hope to again one day.

        • Has anyone seen the sixth book to the Clan series yet? I have been waiting for this one longer then the last book, and that was 2.5 years ago with the authors divorce and all I am in suspense, I have had all of the series so many times, I keep loosing one book at a time here there and yonder. So this time I don’t loan them out so that I will eventually have the whole series. Right now I have the first and the fifth books to the series and still looking for the others in the local used book stores...
