Did anyone else notice that many of Sarah Palin’s endorsements were actually elected? What does that say? So many people don’t like her but yet she has a voice that people are listening to. Baffling.

...on the other hand, our once very popular President doesn’t even come close with successfully endorsing candidates. Many people still like him but his endorsements didn’t take hold. Just as baffling.

Some of the post election analysis is so obvious (people aren’t satisfied with the economy, obamacare, etc.) - but it’s these things (eg endorsement results) that fascinate me. Because this is where we see the true pulse of the country.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this??? I’d love to hear some opinions/interpretations.

        • I wasn’t really paying much attention to the politics on television because my own mind has been made up. But I did notice last night that Ohio now has John Kasich - the President went to Ohio several times to stump for his party. And his Senate seat in Illinois was taken by a Republican I believe.

One thing this election has done for me is spark an interest in understanding politics more. I haven’t paid much attention in the past. I think that now as I get older I care more about the direction our country goes.

While on the flip side he is liked as a person but people realize he isnt ready to be a strong leader and backs the wrong people...he thinks due to his likeability he can get away with more maybe.what I mean by that is he thinks people will tolorate him more due to the likeability of his charm.
This is just a radom idea because the situation is very baffling.

        • I agree Angelcart. The President has a good personality and he ran a good campaign and many people believed him that he would bring change. He does not have the experience to run this country and I think some people are finally seeing that and they do not want to elect a candidate into office that he endorses if they don’t like what is going on in the White House. I do like Sarah Palin and people are listening to her maybe some are threatened as she is so smart and that is why they don’t like her.

        • I did take notice of how most of the people she endorsed won and how many democrats sort of backed away from the president..and some of those won because they kept away from the president.  To me THAT SAYS A LOT!

I also noticed after listening to the news on GMA this morning that the president all of a sudden is willing to listen and work with the republicans and he does act like the life has been sucked out of him...because it did.

        • Thats exactly what I ment. I would rather have someone in office I didnt like (as a person) and be smart and willing to move us forward than someone that is likeable but has no place being in office. The dream would be both but Ill take experience and smart over smiles and witty anyday.

        • I think I read somewhere that most of the people that won that Palin was endorsing was already the favored candidate.

I’m not convinced about her at all!
