I thought Id post a topic thats been crossing my mind lately because Ive been asking myself a lot why am I put here on earth? Besides being a wonderful mother and wife, sister and friend to many I just want to know WHY the HECK I sometimes feel so invisible to myself and feel like aging bread in my 4os, just someones mom and wife.....
Call it PMS, call it what you like but its something that bothers me from time to time and feel it moreso in my 40s.
I am religous, I believe in God, Heaven life and lessons we learn here but some days I tell you, I just want God to come down and just have a heart to heart talk with me and tell me WHY EXACTLY IM HERE.....And Tell me Im doing a good job.
Just asking my sisters in here their thoughts on this....
      Thanks for listening girls :)

I’m not sure why I’m here I just try to stay open to the possibilities and remain positive.

          I do like this topic!

        • We all have asked this trillion dollar question. We all also have a purpose in this life, if you truly want to know the answer seek the one who created you and has mapped out your journey as well as your purpose, GOD! He will give you the answer just seek Him with your question and He will surely give you the answer.

        • estatic Ive asked myself that alot lately. Ive wonder what would be the reason. Ive wondered how my being here is in the great scheme of things. And this is what I came up with for me. Im here to teach. Basically pass on the things and experiences to others. My children, my friends and maybe most important have a stranger learn from me hopefuly to help their life even if its just a smile. Im also a student and am to learn from all. I think its so we as humans contonue learnimg and teaching to pass it forward. It makes me feel not so small sometimes to view it this way. But thats what I think hope it helps.heart

        • You are not here by accident whether your parents or your siblings ever told you...you were not planned.  happy People will sometimes say to me since I’m the baby of (4) girls...but there is nine years difference between my sister next to me and me.  The oldest sister is 16 years older.  So...yes...my parents had not planned me but GOD CERTAINLY DID.  He put you on this earth for HIS PURPOSE!  HE created YOU...for Him.  No other way to look at it.  Ok...so you get that but then..you ask yourself...“but what am I’m suppose to do?”

When you have a “relationship” with God and you “seek” Him in all that you do...he will reveal to you “your purpose“.  Example......you know when you get something on your brain about doing something or your heart just keeps telling you to do something...or not to do something...that is God talking to you.  For me my purpose is to be a wife, a mother, and a friend to many.  What I do where I work daily I am put in a position to help other people who might be dealing with someone in their family who has alzheimers.  My mother had it for over 12 years and I am able to share my knowledge with them.  I know that God has me where I am right now so...I do it.

But...I also know that MY PURPOSE on this earth is to spread HIS GOSPEL...to SHARE HIS GIFT with others.  That truly is the purpose of ALL PEOPLE....YOU have to accept his gift of eternal LIFE...and then...share it with others.  And...I forgot to mention...it’s a FREE GIFT.  That truly is your purpose!happy

        • This may sound nuts but I believe we have angels that walk among us in life and theyre sent from God to help us (sometimes its just a nod, a smile, a nice gesture etc)
There have been times in my life where it was just too coincidental that these “angels” show up at the right place at the right time and although they may be a stranger to me, somehow help me feel better.
And Kyah, your thought about life being about the people you help along the way is absolutely beautiful and holds SO much truth to it as well.
Short story i have to share... once in my early 20s i had a lousey job my boss made me cry and i drove home in tears well i had to stop at a gas station and as I was pumping gas this little old man next to me is staring at me and says to me ” Its ok child you look so sad, smile its not that bad” and he just had this presence about him that made me feel so much better.  I felt like God was with me at that moment ...and it probably was.

        • I agree with all the answers!!!  There are angels amongst us - a fab40 member has willingly decided to watch over me, she checks out my writing, messages me daily and inspires me with Gods’s words, eases my hurt with her words, and never judges or disiplines me. I can only see her sillouette, just like I’m hiding behind a Japanese girl, yet I feel her presence and hear her words.

I’ve always wondered my purpose here on Earth.  One reason is to be there for the school kids I work with, it’s not a easy occupation, so many times I’ve felt like quitting, but I’m put here on Earth to make a difference for our children.  I may say that I’m vulnerable, but the little ones are more so, some come from uncaring families, and they need to know that someone cares about them.  The other reason that I’m here is because my daughter loves me and she would want me around as long as possible.

Some teachers tell me that I do a good job, but compliments do not come from mom, dad, or brother and my boss, people I wish would acknowlege me. I don’t hear God saying that I’m doing a good job, but my guardian angel assures me that he knows and wants me to always do my best.  That’s my 2 cents.

          All the best,
          Linda heart

Never underestimate the power of one. YOU. Acknowledge yourself, don’t wait for others, or you may waste a lifetime waiting.

        • Linda I loved reading your ” 2 cents ” on the purpose of your life.
It sounds to me like you make a HUGE difference in the lives of many children and GOD BLESS YOU for that honey.

I too work with children and infact some have special needs and I adore them all, even the ones that cannot control themselves and make life challenging but My Guardian Angel talks to me from inside my heart and gives me Patience LOVE
and endless compassion for my kids.  I put myself in their shoes and would want a teacher like me who really cared about them .

You sound like a wonderful person and Kyah is RIGHT, you cant waste a single day waiting for acknowledgement from others, GOD sees what you do everyday and Loves you for it.
          Christie

        • Christie, thanks for your kind words.  It’s so good to hear from  awesome teachers such as you.  Yes, our occupation requires patience and endless compassion for our children.  I used to work as a special ed para and it was so challenging with some and with others all you had to do was stay besides them and teach the best you can and they‘re learning.  Now I deal with many behavioral problem kids who don’t want to learn and honestly the thought of facing these students tomorrow, Wed, 9/8 the first day of our school is intimidating.  Well, they’ll be at their good behavior on the first day, but soon after that the chaos will start.  Believe me, I’m not all that a wonderful person, I can be mean and then later at work I reflect on my day and realize that I could have handled the problem in a positive way.  But we‘re all humans and we react the way we react at that moment.  Hopefully, our school will have a good discipline plan, we didn’t last year.

Thanks Kyah and Christie for your validation of selfworth.

          Linda heart
