Today I decided would be the day I started trying to run. I got all ready, sent the kids off to school and went down to the treadmill. About 5 minutes into my walk/run the phone rings and it’s my daughter, she forgot something she really really needs.

OK. I stop working out. Run to her school to drop it off. I run into a friend of mine there and we talk.... for about 45 minutes.

Oh no! I have a million things to do. So I rush home and start doing some of my tasks for today.

Then it dawns on me. I didn’t get back to the treadmill.

But wait, I need to get dinner ready. So I do that.

Then I realize I still have time to put in 20 minutes.

But I have a few more things to do before the kids come home!

No! That’s it! No excuses! I put my workout clothes back on and head down to the treadmill.

I did it! Week1 Day1 is complete. Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!

      Now I can relax!

        • That’s great Annie. Congratulations on that. Countless times I’ve ditched the workout when my schedule got squirley and I have to say that the few times I made the adjustment and did the exercise anyway I had quite a sense of accomplishment. It’s about priorities and you reshuffled them today but you got that workout in.
