Just for the heck of it yesterday, I googled myself. It was very interesting that my blogger blog came up right on the first page. Then someone suggested that we google our Fab40 screen name. Since the word “chocolatier” is very mainstream I decided to google, “Fabulously40 Chocolatier”

I was excited to see Tracy’s blog that she did after receiving a box of my chocolates right at the top. There it was in big bold letters, “Chocolatier is the BOMB”

Imagine my excitement! I actually did a happy dance.

so, if you have an external blog or website and you regularly contribute to Fab40, it may bring you increased traffic online which is what anyone with an online presence wants.

      So, FAB40 is the BOMB!

        • Wow, that is really great! I have started my own website so that I can stay home for my 3 yr old. For me, it hasn’t been easy building my site. Shipping modules, html and such, just give me a crick in my neck. Now I am delving into the world of Metadescriptions and search optimizations. I really need to network in order to get this site going. Fabulously 40 seems like a very friendly site so I can enjoy making friends too.estatic

        • That’s so cool, Cynthia! I’ve googled myself before. Most of the entries are from local newspaper articles on Shiloh. It’s so weird to see myself on google!

        • I haven’t googled me, but I did Hannah’s soaps and was very surprised at how many hits there were in such a short time. Cynthia, you might consider doing a giveaway - review to some of the bloggers who have a large following. With our little giveaway promotion just this month we have gone from 4 or 5 followers to over 30 on Hannah’s soap site. You should also check out the oikiology site where you’ll find directions to build your own button(button on both mine and Heather’s sites) and set yourself up your own button. It wasn’t that hard. That way we can all swap buttons. That is a great way to drive traffic. If you want to dole out buttons, but change pictures, you’ll just swap our your stored photobucket picture, but keep the name the same. (Most people call the picture ‘blogbutton’ or something like that.)
Networking is ABSOLUTELY the key to online success. The world of blogdom is huge, and I only have my little toe wet!

        • It is weird. Makes me a little careful about what I post online. Don’t want anything coming back to haunt me.

Tracy, that was so thrilling to see your blog right there! You ARE famous.

        • Ragdol, I am amazed at you.  I could never create my own website.  I also just started a business but hired someone to create the website.  I am having a hard enough time just trying to navigate all the social websites to network, learn about email contacting and setting up the business.

          Good luck to you
