I was such an emotional wreck last night that my husband did not know what to do with me.... I started accusing him of not being there for me emotionally... It was completely out of nowhere... I was all lovie dovie one minute and then BAM, bitch the next!!!!tongue out What the heck is wrong with me? I truly feel like I’m going crazy... How can women go thru this for 5+ years or more... After I calmed down I realized how psychotic I was and apologized to my husband... But I still feel so bad for putting him through all my emotional crap...frown I really hope that my doctor can help me tomorrow, because if she can’t I might as well lock myself somewhere and never come out ever again...ohhhh

        • I know, I’m right there with you. I have an appointment today and I’ll share what the doc says when I get back. Thank goodness there is an end to all of this but it feels crummy while we‘re going through it.

        • I just came back from the doctor and Kaiser’s answer to hot flashes is synthetic hormones derived from the urine of a horse. I think I’m going to pass on that. The nurse practitioner did however suggest taking flax seed oil in capsule form. She takes it for her hot flashes and says it has helped her a lot. She was taking hormones for awhile and after weening herself off of them her hot flashes were so bad they were almost unbearable.

I wish I had better news or some magic cure for hot flashes but unfortunately, this is all I have to report.

I’m not certain what I will do but I think I’m going to try and ride this stuff out for awhile. If I hear of anything that’s helpful I’ll report and hope everyone else will do the same. I think there are a lot of us in the same boat right now.

I had a doctor explain to me once that everything regarding female hormones is sensitive to ibuprofin.  That is why they want pregnant or nursing women to take tylenol.

She said that you know the saying take 2 aspirin an call me in the morning. Now its take 2 advil/pamprin and call me in the morning.

I am not at the “psycho” stage YET. But that advice always stays in the back of my mind.  So when I am grumpy I take 2 advil - but then I dont think about it anymore so I cant tell you if it actually works.estatic
(I will try to be more thoughtful tho’ and conduct my own scientifical experiement)

          Doesnt hurt to try
