Doesn’t matter who you‘re voting for just make sure you get out and vote today!  Here, in NYC, it’s 6:40 am and there are hundreds of people lined up to vote already.  We have a lot of polling places, one every few blocks, and there are lines going around the blocks already.
And just to let you know if you go into a Starbucks today and tell them you voted, you will get a free cup a joe! Here’s what they have to say:
“After you vote Tuesday (11/4), head to your local US Starbucks and we'll give you a FREE tall (12 oz) cup of brewed coffee at no charge (limit one per customer).  If you live in an area without voting proof, then we’ll use the honor system.”

        • Thanks for the tip.

I will be voting with my daughter Ashley this morning. We are going to wait until 9:30 or so to let the rush of people that have to be at work at 8:00 or 9:00 this morning get in there first.

This is Ashley’s first time to vote. My baby has grown up!!!

History will be made today. It will  be by far the largest turn out of people we have ever witnessed in our life time.

          It is exciting!!!

        • Tori, I am with you. There is an unrest this morning with me.  I will be better once I do this.

Don’t you start back to work this morning? If so, have a great morning. I am sure it will be different getting back into the swing of things. If anybody can do it you can girl. I love your spunk!!! Have a great morning.

        • I just got back!!!! I was the 4th in my precinct and 1st in last name A-C!!!  The line was growing minute by minute as I was leaving. I was home by 0715.  This was my daughter’s 1st time voting this year, but she had no gaps in her school schedule today, so she opted and voted early, and didn’t let me know until afterwards:(  I had been holding out to vote with her...oh well, I was just glad she voted and concerned about the future of our country.  She was in an American Gov’t class this 1st semester in college and had alot of great discussions in class.  I guess it was good timing!  This is history today, no matter how it turns out!

        • My husband and I decided to participate in early voting this year... we are in Lafayette LA and at 9:30 am on a Thursday, we waited nearly 2 hours... it was FANTASTIC! To see the passion of my countrymen/women to make their voices heard is always inspiring to me. But as a woman, as I made my choices on that ballot, I honored those women before me (and not so long ago) who fought and suffered to give my voice the same weight as any man who voted... God speed ladies, and bring a book! :)

        • I voted last week with my oldest son and I had the pleasure of taking my 20 year old son to vote this morning. I’m going to go with my hubby to cast his vote later this evening. What a day already!
