Here’s a client of mine who “got it together” when many of us think it’s too late. She is now 60. I decided to post these photos of her(she is posted in “Hi Christopher“) because it makes mores sense in it’s own thread, I think.

      Louellen age 48 “before”

      Louellen Age 56 “after”

      This inspires me.  [Link Removed]

        • I got there in a year, but I am not sporting a bikini (too many stretch marks.) You can do it Doreen. It gave me my ‘sexy’ back to lose it and pamper myself with a new hairdo and some new makeup. I was so tired of being ‘frumpy’ and ‘matronly‘. I am so happy to be sporting my daughter’s clothes now. :) I ‘borrow’ from my 13yo daughter! We are a size different in jeans, but wear the same shirt/skirt sizes. I don’t have before/after pics because I always hid from the camera or deleted the ones that secretly got taken. After the Osolean Challenge we all need to get together and take a Fab Sexy picture - I think Yana was talking about a cruise in May... what a great reward!

Gosh this gal looks good in the bathing suit.  I would love to get where she is again.

Leeann, I think 500 gazillion crunches is what I need. The fat is gone, the flabby baggy skin... well, other than snip and zip, I think it would take at least 500 gazillion, maybe 6. LOL

        • I think it would be cool for someone to start a “comeback” support group.  Everyone set a “comeback” date and keep each other supported.

I admit, I’ve fallen off my own best wagon.  So I will play.  I’m giving myself a short comeback date.  January 24th.  I’ll be 45.  Well, my body will be.  I’ll still be 28.

        • Christopher, maybe you'd like to join my Osolean Challenge. estatic You can click on the link in my signature line to read more about Osolean. I blogged about the Challenge. We'll all set our own goals, but I want everyone to commit to 3 months (which is really what it takes to develop a habit, and we all know that lifestyle changes are the only way to really make it happen. We will have accountability/coaching/cheerleading calls weekly for anyone who wants to join us - Osolean or not. I bet you are a great cheerleader! estatic

How do you get rid of the yuck in front...ya know the place where your stomach is....after 2 c-sections my stomach is destroyed. Everytime I lose weight I lose it everywhere but there. Not a good look!
So any tips that do not include surgery?

        • Vikki,
That is where Osolean excelled for me. 5 inches off the muffin top (that wasn’t budging before) in less than 2 months. It just melted away! I started doing crunches too - I need to be more consistent with that to tighten up the skin that is left there, and get some of the Firm cream I have used to help diminish stretch marks in the past. I think that will help tighten it up too. That is my focus area while we are doing the Osolean Challenge.
I think buddy accountability helps alot which is why I’ll be doing the calls.

        • Okay Christopher, what the heck is laser resurfacing and a thread lift? I guess I need to get your book. estatic

Being a health nut, I prefer to do things naturally, and I love the feeling of satisfaction I get when I accomplish something. A dear friend of mine here has helped me understand that self confidence = mature sexy. I guess that is why I have a spring in my step that I haven't had since high school. Not only did I lose it (40 lbs and my blah self image), but *I* did it, and that feeling combined with the new look is what makes me feel so good about myself.

I am not really pretty and I know it so for years I just let myself slide. Sweats and a ponytail with no make-up... and a baby on the hip, and one in the oven more often than not. A few pounds here, a few more there, and the realization hit me that I wasn't just post-partum chubby, I was fat. I also realized that I quit caring about how I looked because I was complacent with knowing that my husband loved me, and could care less whether I was overweight, wore make-up, or the latest style.

40 was my year of revelation, of a rebirth of sorts. Not only spiritually, but mentally and physically. For some reason I had it in my head that ‘primping’ was not God-honoring. And being a slob was? Duh! I don’t know where that idea came from, but I ditched it. estatic I determined that I wanted to look my best, for ME. So I set out on a mission to get there, without sacrificing my high ideals for being healthy, and doing things as naturally as possible.
It took me longer I am sure, and it would be Oh So Much easier just to donate this extra skin to a burn center... but then I wouldn’t feel like I did it myself. estatic It may take me another year to get the ‘cut’ abs I want and to tighten up that skin. But, I’ll do it, and if I fancy wearing a bikini again, then I can do it proudly. I didn’t buy those ‘hoochie’ jeans yesterday, but I did buy 2 size 28 belts as my Osolean Challenge inspiration. They’d fit, if I was wearing the 80’s style above the belly button jeans that I recently retired. But... they’ll fit me by March sporting the more modern styles.
If I were to succomb to just one of the many surgically induced shape changing surgeries it would most definitely be implants. I miss my boobs! But, I know it will never happen. I just can’t go there, but as soulful says... I can dream. LOL

        • Laser resurfacing is a way to tighten facial skin and get rid of wrinkles, un even pigmentation, etc.

But my book doesn’t talk at all about cosmetic procedures.  It just focuses on Hair, Make up, and Personal Style.  Along with the HOW to get of your butt and out of the rut and DO it!
