Welcome 2009,  goals are important I agree and this is something that as a Fitness Instructor I continue to impress upon my students.  Get moving a little more each day and before you know it, your up to an hour or so of cardio, and you feel great.  I teach dance fitness and with not so coordinated individuals, I have to constantly keep it simple in choreograpy.  This is the goal that I am setting for myself.  Keep it simple Cyn!  Due to the fact that I motivate others so much, I tend to put myself on the backburner and never reach out to others or network thinking I have it all under control.  Well, I am here to admit as an instructor, I too have some goals I need to set and focus on.

Ever since I got married and started back in school, boy o boy, has it shown. And what’s up with the forty’s? My mom says “your body changes and it gets harder to keep the weight off”  I say  “BULL”  I agree the number on the scale is of no reflection when entering into a weight loss program, because Inches Loss = Weight Loss. I have to remind myself of that.  So here it is....I just weighed in and measured up....whew....talk about “truth be known“estatic

      Jan 6th, 2009  8am:
      Height: 5‘9”
      Weight: 163lbs (OMG!!)
      Neck: 13
      Chest/Bust line: 39/34
      Arms: 12
Waist: 32 Lower belly: could do more pilates!!!
      Hips: 41 1/2
      Thighs: 23
      Calf: 16
My goal for this month keeping it simple:  Just hit the weights...I HAVE to start weight resistance. Even though I am at the gym, I’ll admit after I teach I am tired so I say “tomorrow”  well, too many tomorrows have passed. Just for today I am going to start picking up to dumb bells that have collected a little dust in the back of my closet and for tomorrow before I teach, I am going to start weight training.

      Have a great 2009!
Let music fill your life with a melody of peace...
Let love fill your heart with kindness for others...
and Let laughter fill your soul with Divine energy to spread goodness!

        • Good for you! I need to do some cardio myself. We have a farm and every day I do some weight training. estatic I have 3 Arabian fillies that I am working with, and they are stalled so that means not only packing hay from barn to pasture, but mucking out stalls, not to mention upper body workout as I play with them Parelli style.
Before my hubby came home for a two week hiatus, I was doing 100 crunches every morning which was really helping to tighten up the flab. With him home, I got out of the habit... so I am starting that back up.
Did you get a chance to look at the Osolean? Here is the link to sign up for the Fab40 team - [Link Removed]
I’ll set up the call for tomorrow night at 9:30pm Eastern, and post that information in a separate thread.

          Welcome to the Challenge!

        • Wow that’s great my hubby and I always speak of owning a farm with a little lake and some horses..being city people we could stand for the breathing space and the beauty, f you get my drift.  I did get to see the Osolean and  I going to set myself up Thursday afternoon.  Thanks for the link. I teach Wednesday evening until 7:30p and sometimes I get home a bit later than 9pm from the gym by the time I am done. Is this a phone call or an online chat? Let me know so I can put this on my agenda to be available.
Chat soon!  Have a great day!

        • Well here it is 20 days since my first post and all I can say is...well at least I feel great!  I did not lose in pounds but not really concerned with that number due to where I am in my month.  I did however lose in couple of areas.  Hips 1 inch, waist line 1 inch, bust line 3/4 of an (i think about my back and when I put on my bra, not seeing anything hanging out when it should be tucked in) my boosies, 1 inch.   This was encouranging for me, but still don't understand why the numbers were low.  I can see myself looking different and I have been told I look like I lost weight.  I have been more conscious of what I am eating, I now eat dinner before 7pm, and no longer wait for my husband to come home and eat late.  I am at the gym teaching and let me add I really work up a sweat and my heart rate pumps, Monday for 1 hour, Wednesday 1hr, Friday same, Saturday same and on Sunday is Straight out Yoga day 1 hr.  My resistance training only 1 day during the week though, finding time can be challenging. Any suggestions? I thought maybe I am where I should be and this is just it, maintenance. Oh well, I will still remain hopeful and stay focused. Time for school!

        • Only 1 week and I feel great. I feel like I am lighter. I dont feel as full like usual after a meal as though the Osolean helps with my digestion. Dont know how else to explain it.  I don’t feel as much water retention either.
