We went to a local animal shelter back in ‘97 I think. I wasn’t quite enthused with getting a cat or anything at the time. My daughter was still young (about 6 or 7 I think) and that seemed like enough. We decided to go ahead and get a kitty. Kimberly named him Gonzo. I didn’t know how much this animal would enrich our lives. Recently though I noticed he was getting wobbly, tired, and a lot slower getting around. Then the other day he took off and he was not in good shape at all :( I just knew that was it, you know? I wasn’t going to have a chance to say goodbye to my cat. I was outside thinking about him and I looked towards my right and here he came wobbling back home; worse shape than before. I thought about having him put to sleep but I felt he wasn’t ‘hurting‘. I took him inside and there he stayed on the bay window until yesterday when he passed away. He was the best kitty. I will miss him greatly, but I know he is better off now. RIP Gonzo.. your family loves & misses you.
