        • Good morning Vikki, I’m doing well a bit tired but all is well. My weekend was good even though I worked on Sat./Sun. it was good we spent time with the g-baby from Thurs, till we took her home Sat. evening she has a ball at the park wading in the lake with me looking for sea shells she is such a character and so many questions lol, she likes to know things and man can she ask the questions but I see it as aa good thing she likes to be informed on many things, she loved our time at the library and everytime she comes over she wants to go there, I can’t believe she can read some things at her age and then again I guess I can I started reading with her from age 1 and she loves her books. Well I have to work this afternoon which I so dread those people on that shift are so lazy and fill or more drama than my morning shift people, but I’m going to remain neutral and do my own business. Well ladies have a great day!happy

        • Good morning Vikki and Neicy!

It’s a gray dreary day in my neighborhood.  It’s been raining on and off and supposed to all day.  Well, I guess that means I’ll have to dry laundry in the dryer instead of on the line.  Bummer.

        • LOL.  The water pumping substation is right outside my kitchen window.  Instead of one guy there this morning checking on things, there are two.  One working on something and one standing with hands in pockets.  Cute.

Now one texting, one standing with hands in pockets.

        • Vikki, I’d guess they get paid about the same as I do.  The one with the hands in the pockets is actually a good friend of mine, and I know he’s not making piles of money.

Apparently they had to take the broken part back to the shop to fix.

        • Morning Vikki, Neicy & Tulip,

Today it’s going to heat up! I left some windows open last night and opened more when I got up to cool the house as much as possible while there’s the cool morning breeze. I’ll be closing windows when the temperature starts to rise to keep the house chilled down. And it is Chilled in here right now! LOL

It was a quiet weekend, nothing exciting, but nice and pleasant.

Neicy, you and your grand daughter are so blessed to have each other! ;oD

        • Neicy, I feel for you having to work with the Drama Department!

We have a new waitress at work and I seem to be the one that keeps getting stuck with her.  Drama, drama, drama.  It makes the day very long.

        • When I first started working with this company last summer I had to tell a few of my managers that I was not interested in their drama. I was pretty adament about the workplace being about business. And if they didn’t want to comply then they didn’t have to work there.

The whole reason I went into management years ago was to control my environment. I did not like working for moody people or in a moody environment.

          NO DRAMA!!!

@Vikki, yeah! I worked with the afternoon crew a week ago and I tell you they are sooooo messy and full of the drama, but I did tell the staffing co-ordinator for those days left that she had me scheduled for afternoons to keep me on the Memory Care Unit, which is a world within a world and it seems no one but me likes working in it and it is drama free! LOL, I guess thats why they don’t like working on that unit can’t keep no drama going lol, it works for me! LOL.estatic

        • Good morning, All!  I wasn’t online at all this weekend...too busy chasing my kids around and hanging with my family.  We swam in the kiddie pool, went on several bike rides, jumped on the trampoline, and spent a lot of time just cuddled up on the couch together.  We had a HUGE thunderstorm last night.  I couldn’t sleep, and 2 AM found  me on my front stoop with my faithful dog Sadie, just taking in the lightning and thunder.  My kids are at Daily Vacation Bible School this week....pray that the experience gives my son a better attitude!

          Hugs to all.

        • Hi all!

Got a good start this morning at 7:15..laundry, cleaning, bills, and our son mowed the yard for me.  He just quit his construction job as there was TOO much drama for him and it is not what he wants to pursue, so he is off to help his grandparents at our family summer home in NY state and will be there for most of the summer.

He is interested in culinary school, so say prayers that it works out for him.  I would love to share cooking ideas with him.

Enjoy your day and a cheery Monday to everyone!

          heartheart

        • Good afternoon ladies.  I think I need to grow fins and gills.

          It’s been rain, rain, rain!

This morning when I went to the post office I dumped 3/4” of rain out of the rain gauge.  At the moment, there is another full inch in there.  More on the way.   Our area averages about 10-15” of precipitation ANNUALLY.  I think we’ve hit that and gone beyond and we‘re only in June.

I walked out to the garden to get some garlic scapes and the lawn went squish, squish underfoot like a wet pair of sneakers.

        • It was nice reading about all your activities Ladies! I am glad that for the most part it was a good weekend. With just enough crap to remind us about the good!

I took my sister shopping today and bought her some stuff. I really need to blog about her and her visit. It’s been very stressful (she is epileptic and had a seizure while here among other issues) and fun at the same time (visiting).

She will be leaving to go back to MI on Thur frown but I am also looking forwards to the rest (hopefully I will get used to my new bed soon)happy
