I was warned and I didn’t want to believe it. I thought that California was a tough place to have a business and I knew that Washington State was good or bad depending on the county but Maui has got to be the hardest. I’ve been dealing with multiple departments of inspectors, building permits even though I’m not actually building anything,Electrical permits even though I only moved one 220 plug from one location to another without changing the wiring. I became so frustrated that I actually cried on the phone with the permit department and in person with 2 of the inspectors.

I can’t be certain how all of this will work out but today I had encouraging news from the wastewater division. They will approve my grease trap and sinks. At least it’s a start.

If you are in business and have had to deal with government red tape, I’d love to hear your story.
