        • Good Morning Vikki, Djo, Neicy.

I am only working a little today. I am ready to start my weekend. No BFF this holiday he is busy working, but I will see him Tuesday if all goes well. It is a staycation for me this weekend. I am looking forward to firing up the grill on Saturday, cooking good food, hanging out with friends and enjoying the fireworks.

        • Evening Ladies,

My weekend is not kicking off so sweet. I got yelled at by an angry woman my little dog scared on the trail running past the top of the property when he busted out of the fence again. Bad, bad dog! I can’t do this fence repair thing anymore. I got a 3 page letter from the X included with the support check today. Just so you all know... he’s guilt free and it is all my fault the marriage didn’t work.

Nothing ever happened with the 19 yr old he was living with, and present girlfriend is just a friend (that stays the night with him... he left that out) and why don’t I settle this without my attorney? oh good grief.

But Ladies, Yana got it all fixed up with my Fab40 acct and I’m getting my emails again! I am happy dancing! Yee-haw!

Wishing you all a fun and happy weekend... and delicious cake. ;oD Yep, thinking about you, Tulip. Hope your back is feeling better.

        • Morning Ladies,

I got the fence patched up with 6 wooden garden stakes that are 4’ long. Wove them in the fence wire vertically and Tyke ain’t getting out in that spot again! ;oD  If this buys us a few months more till we get to move and I get a cyclone fence yard for him (want it up before we move in) then he gets to stay with us. Winter and I are attached to him.

        • I have a nice “stay-cay-shun” of 11 days. I relaxed all day yesterday, today I got up and went to the store. Still want to straighten out the mess in the living room, and part of me wants to wait until I’m officially on vacation which is Tuesday the 5th, after I come back from the dentist. In the meantime, bought food to cook and will relax, relax, relax as much as possible.

Y‘all have a great long weekend!

So glad you have your home back to normal, Vikki!estatic

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend so far!

Hub and I went out Friday night, it was fun.  The food was delicious and the bartender, a really nice guy.

Yesterday, we spent the whole day doing yard work, cut down a huge crab-apple tree that was ready to die, etc...then a nice small dinner and some television..we both fell asleep at 8:00 p.m.

Today, hub is heading to his buddy’s home to help him with some plumbing and maybe a game of horseshoes.  I am making potato salad for tomorrow when hub’s sister and the kids come over to watch fireworks from our back yard.

Have a great Sunday and a very happy 4th all!

Today I continue to play catch up with the house. Really the yard. There are some weeds that need my attention and I want to start planning my bulb layout for fall.

I kid you not yesterday after the company left there was barely ANY conversation between any of us. My SS said don’t talk just write it in a note. That pretty much summed it up for all of us.

Now where did I put that coffee cup........

        • Sounds like a sinus infection Neicy, by all means go to the doctor and have him check it out. I have grass fever and have resorted to using a Neti syringe (I wasn’t going to use the pot) a couple of times a week & it helps a lot. I’ve also been dissolving Sambucol for Cold & Flu on my tongue which has stopped the itchy throat, nose running and cough. It’s a homeopathic medicine, made from elderberry extract.

Glad to have that over with. Surprise, surprise.... gas was down 20 cents per gallon.

Neicy, it sound like a sinus infection to me too since you‘re so miserbable from it and it’s gone on for 2 weeks.

Cathie, Men never take the blame for anything that goes wrong in their lives.  At least that is my experience.  I am glad you figured out how to keep the dog in the yard.

Still not feeling myself yet but I guess it will take time.  I am reading a few books while I lay around.  There really is not much on TV this weekend.  So who here has a nook and wants to start a group or do we have a nook group?  Not sure if we do but would love to be able to lend out to people who I know.

        • Good morning ladies!  heart

Well, I spent 3 hours this morning helping my daughter with her yard and I must have sweated out a gallon of sweat!  It’s nut even lunch-time but I cracked open a Bud anyway.  Whew.

My ex husband mowed my daughter’s yard last night.  He is SO @#$%^ stupid.  He had the blade on his riding mower set so low he was hitting the ground in lots of places.  Made a horrible mess of her nice lawn and left us piles and piles to rake up.  So we got started building her 3 raised beds for flowers and veggies, hualed branches to the dump, etc.

Neicy, I’ve dealt with allergies all my life and live with chronic sinus infection.  I’ll give you two tips to feel better, drink LOTS of water and take sudafed.  Don’t let the doc prescribe you any more antibiotics.  They‘re killing off all the good bugs in your body, and the antibiotics won’t help anything as long as the allergies are keeping your sinuses inflammed.  Just my 2 cents worth, but I’ve been dealing with it for 40 years.

        • Hi Momofthree,

We’ll see how long this patched fence will last. I sort of deflated Tyke’s ego the day he’d escaped and scared the woman that yelled at me, by me not backing off when he bared his teeth and growled at me. I just grabbed his snout, clamped his jaws together and roared a teeth baring growl back at him. I’ve lived with a rescued female wolf dog that superceeds his idea of intimidation and she was twice his size and weight. LOL

Funny that I read his letter, but I don’t remember much of it by now. My attorney may want to see it so I didn’t trash it.

Hope you‘re feeling better with your hernia. Gads, that has Got to be painful!

          Hugs,
          Cathie

It was a slwo day but quite I had a resident I think I should have sent out to the hospital but the daughter was so against me doing so that poor man is suffering and I feel he is not going to make it to the end of the week let alone the middle of it, but it was her call. I was too tired to go out after work and hubby decided not to go to his friends cookout as well so I’m up in the bed still nursing my issues with this sinus and allery infection. Hope you all are having fun, do some extra fun having for me too!tongue outhappy

        • Tulip, I have to disagree with you about the antibiotics. Sometimes the infection is so bad affecting ears, nose and throat that you have to have antibiotics. I would be so congested that it would make me dizzy and unstable on my feet, sinus infection that messed with my middle ears. Clarithromycin was the scripted medication which I refilled once and I ate yogurt and took acidophilus to keep replacing the good bacteria. My doctor said if I allow it to go untreated, I could lose my hearing and we ain’t having that. I also take the behind the counter Sudafed (not the over the counter ones) where I have to show I.D. to purchase them, but not often because it raises my blood pressure. People with high blood pressure need to ask their doctor before buying real Sudafed. I have settled for Zyrtec (expensive, but good) which I will take when my ears start clogging up.

Neicy, make sure you run down all the symptoms to your doctor, especially those if weather seems to make you feel even worse. Feel better! happy
