        • I decided to learn how to play violin at 58, which included having to learn how to read music. Somewhere at the mid point of the past year & a half of waiting to be free from the X, I stopped feeling an urge to play very often. I fell out of practice. Now that I can about taste “The End” coming, I have recently started practicing every day again.  ;oD

        • heart At 47 and after being laid off from my employment of over ten years I decided to return to school and embarked on a whole new career path. This fall I go back to become a pre school / kindergarten teacher.
I’m excited and nervous all rolled up into one. I also plan on taking a fencing class if they will really let me have a foil lol
I have also returned to playing the piano. I have played since I was four until about a year ago. But now I’m back playing.
Well, that’s what I’m up to to all that are new here to get the cliff notes on me
          Hugs to all
          Cris

        • Cris I didn’t realize you had been laid off. I’m sorry they did that and yet it sounds like you’ve bounced back (in your typical cheeky wonderful style!) and moved forward to a new career. I think you’ll make a wonderful teacher. The kids will be lucky to have you.

Eva - I’m looking forward to hearing more. Your posts are always so interesting and fun to read.

Neicy, thanks for starting this thread. I like this.

Cathie I remember when you and your husband first split and how you reached out to us at that terrible time. You’ve come a long way since then and you‘re doing wonderfully. You‘re only going to continue to grow and get better over time.

Vikki we’ll blaze a trail for you. Some of us blaze hotter than others depending on where we are with the menopause process! LOL

I decided to lose weight before my 50th birthday and ended up losing 40 pounds. Today I bought a pair of levi’s traditional 501’s in the size I wore when I was in my 20’s. That feels good!

I just started a new job at the campus health center at my college. I’m working on my pre requisites for the nursing program and should be an RN by Summer 2014. I’m considering taking the education further and getting a higher degree in either nutrition or psychology so I can go into a specialized field in nursing.

        • @ Cynthia, thank you for remembering, ;oD  Got a court hearing on the 8th (only 2 days away now) and I’m expecting it’s going to be drama packed, but I still really look forward to it. I’ve been chomping at the bit to get to The End. ;oD
