I was just reading your posts and there is so much good information here I just had to join.  Right now, I’m on the South Beach diet and since March I’ve gone from 203 to 185 as of this morning.  While I’m working my way down to 160 so I’ve got a ways to go yet.  During the week, I’m  in the gym an hour a day doing cardio with weights on MWF.  It’s been a constant battle with weight since I was a child (size 10 at 10 years old) but now I’m finally winning. YEAH!

It will be fun to have a place to talk to others going through the same challenges and I look forward to getting to know you all better.  Take care and God bless.

        • Hi Everyone,
I am working on a new healthy regimen myself! My goal is to lose 12 pounds and find a balance of exercise that helps the pain my body is in.

I have a special quote that helps me stay grounded in the fact that I am doing this for “ME” so it can be joyful!estatic

“A flower doesn’t turn toward the sun because it needs to, but because it wants to, and so the process is effortless and joyful.”

I'm not sure who wrote this but it always reminds me that if we are conscious of our own needs, then it can feel joyful and in an awesome way it can be "effortless" to be healthy. Simply because we are feeling joy in caring for ourselves in the same way we feel that special joy caring for others we love!

Congrats to all for your SUCCESS! Celebrate it everyday!
          Judith
