Good morning ladies...I'm on my third cup of Joe and dreading leaving my folks home today.
But oh well, we all do what we have to do. It will be good to get back home though, I miss my hubby and girls...I've been feeling so heavy lately and am thinking about doing the Jenny Craig Program next week.
Have any of you ladies done Jenny Craig? Or even a similar diet? What are your thoughts on Jenny Craig? Welcome and let’s chat.
Please excuse the typo on my topic title.

        • Hi, Angela!  It’s my favorite weather out - RAIN!! - so I will have a quiet day at home on the computer.  I might even watch a DVD.  In the mood for a good breakfast. (What’s that?)
I WAS in the mood to hit up TJ MAXX down the street for a purse, but that was short-lived.

Never done any of the diets, per se.  But, recently I have rediscovered Gilad from Bodies in Motion (remember him?!!), ordered 2 of his DVD’s from Amazon, and my 15 y/o and I have been in welcomed pain ever since!

        • Good Morning everyone...Will I’ve already been out and about.I had to run an errand early this morning and I actually put on my face(hehe)..And I usually have my Friday lunch date with my nephew Nathan, but he’s not going to school today,(stomachache)so he’s staying home..
So the rest of my day is being home and doing some spring cleaning..

Angela, I haven’t tried Jenny Craig. I really don’t know much about the Jenny Craig diet. I’m going to start walking this Monday then come home and do some crunches, trying to get rid of the mid section and try to tone up alittle bit.

It wiil be sad for you to leave your parents but they understand and know you will go back and visit when you can..But at the same time your hubby and girls will be happy to see you..Will it’s time to feed the doggies and just found out they are out of dog food so I’m off to the store..Talk to ladies later..Happy Friday..

        • I’m a little slow getting moving this morning.

Not a lot going on today.  I was going to get up early and take May baskets to a couple neighbor ladies.  I bought some bright yellow pansies I was going to pot up.  I need to get a move on and do that so I can deliver them while the ladies are at the post office.

Hope to get some more gardening done today.  For a change, the wind doesn’t seem to be blowing.

Have a cleaning job to go to at noon.  That takes me about an hour and a half.

And I have to do some laundry.  The piles are threatening to take over so I better go get a load started.

I’ve never done anything like the Jenny Craig diet, but I do have an aquaintance who just finished the Nutri-system thing and he lost over 35 pounds.  He was very very faithful about sticking to the plan.  I think that is the key.

I did the “Maker’s Diet” and lost about 20#, but then depression hit about a year later and I put all the weight back on.

        • I woke up really early and couldn’t get back to sleep.  Have a load of laundry in the washer and one in the dryer.  Need to finish straightening up the downstairs.

My parents are coming in today for Jessica’s bridal shower tomorrow. My dad and my son are going fishing.  Phil has a training day with Bella tomorrow.

I took Jess out to buy an outfit for her bridal shower.  She picked out a skirt and top.  First time I’ve seen her dressed up.  She looked nice.  Then we had dinner at Ruby Tuesday’s.  My crab cake was burned but service was so slow that I ate it anyway.

        • Good Morning Angela and Ladies!!!

How’s it going with everyone? I have such a killer headache today. The rain finally broke so hopefully my headache will hit the road. I am still in jammies with no face on and Tina Turner hair from the 80’s

Today I plan on cleaning house and going thru some books to donate. My daughter Kylie went to see Jerry Springer a month or so ago and that show is airing today. I will be watching just so I can see her.

But in the meantime.....hit me with coffee!

        • So sorry about your headache, Vikki! That can really spoil an otherwise perfect day. I hope it eases up soon.

Shopgirl, your comment about leaving your parents really touched my heart! You must have a very special relationship with them. I find it hard to make time to visit mine, shame on me. They’ve been divorced for nearly 30 years, so I have to go in opposite directions to see them. I should try harder.

Hi Robin!!! I love TJ MAXX. We don’t have one here, I have to go to Wichita or Topeka. I usually buy homegood from them. Love their frames, cards, and odds and ends. Oh, now look what you’ve done! I’m jonsing for TJ MAXX!!! ;o)

Marie, that is so cool  that you have quality time with your nephew! You must be a fantastic aunt, how lucky he is!

Tuliplady, May Baskets?  You are so sweet! I used to have a neighbor that made and delivered May Baskets with her daughter. I’m not good with holidays, I barely get the birthday thing taken care of! Kudos to you!

Carolyn, you must have a daughter getting married soon? I’ve been so out of touch lately I have no idea what’s going on with everyone! Our only daughter married nearly 4 years ago. It was a very special day. We only argued once during wedding planning! That’s when I learned that when she asked my opinion on something, she really meant I should agree with her! haha! It’s all good. When is the wedding?

I’m actually at work, but as you can see, I’m not being productive. Just taking a little “down time” at the front end of my day. I’ve got lunch with a nursing home friend, then 2 coaching sessions this afternoon. I will be volunteering for a concert later this evening with our Shiloh girls. Should be fun.  We are hoping to get the attention of the young woman who is doing the concert. We’ll see!

          Have a wonderful day, all!!!

        • Good Morning everyone. I am just so happy it is Friday, it’s dreary and raining out but I need the weekend. I took the day off yesterday and chaperoned my daughter’s class trip. I let everyone at work know that I would be out of reach...yet my cell phone was buzzing with calls from work about things I couldn’t touch until I came back. I really am resentful when works spills over into my personal time off, so today I feel as funky as the weather.  The weekend is exactly the remedy I need!

        • Happy Fab Friday ladies!

Took the day off work today—going to doc appt, city hall for biz license, grocery shopping, taking my daughter and grandbabies to walk around farmers market, then some lunch.

Shopgirl it’ll be nice for you to get home to your hubby and girls, I bet that miss you even more than you do them. Yeah 5 years ago did Jenny Craig for 2mos and lost 10 lbs, it worked for me. But I’ve since gained that back and then some.

Wittymom, I can relate to what you‘re saying, I’m fully expecting calls on my day off too, as usual. Rain or shine, enjoy a beautiful weekend! And don’t think about work stuff (easy said than done, I know).

Vikki, here’s a freshly brewed cup just for you :) ~hope that headache fades away fast so you can enjoy the day and weekend.

Carolnphil, sounds like someone is getting married ..congrats in advance to the happy couple and you, mom. Enjoy this wonderful special time with your daughter and family. I’ll celebrate for you with a champagne toast this weekend (a good excuse for a mimosa!).

          Fab day ladies!

        • Nice to see you here again Coach!

My phone just rang a little while ago.  Didn’t answer it cuz I didn’t feel like talking on the phone.  I see it was my next door neighbor’s number.  She must have found the pansies on her deck and was calling to ask if I saw who put them there, or worse yet, thank me.

Now I wish I’d gotten more flowers.  It would have been fun to give a pot to every single house in the neighborhood.  Maybe next year. estatic

The wind has come up and blowing like a banshee again.  Clothes on the line will dry fast if I can keep them on the line!!

I’m NOT trying to take over as his mom(he has a mom) it’s just that his mom rather not do things like that with him and it breaks my heart,it’s not his fault so I’ll do what I can for him..
I love him just like he’s my own son..

        • Angela, my sister lost a lot of weight on Jenny Craig. She found it to be very easy because she just hates to cook! All the work is done for you. And it gave her a good idea of portion control. I recommend it.

Today is going to be a busy friday. We get up early in this house and at 7:30 I’ve already had 2 cups of coffee, walked an hour on the treadmill and had a bowl of special K. Now it’s off to lift weights, shower and run out to do some errands before the May Day celebration at my husband’s school. I’ll post photos later - this event is really sweet with Hula, lots of flowers, parents taking pictures.

Then we have the school’s dance showcase tonight. It’s going to be a loooonnnnngggggg day!

They really showed me so much love and attention. It’s always humbling when people just love on you in a big way. Here in Albany Ny the sun is shining bright and there is a little breeze. I imagine that is God just hugging me and the sun on my face is His kisses. You guys enjoy today and LIVE it like it’s your last! Angela don’t know about jenny craig but I do know something that has changed my life drastically. My weight and health. I will send you a private message with the information. I love you guys and thanks for all the love.

On the other hand, I did watch “The Reader” alone. (hubby is out of town)  That was extraordinary!!!!!!!!  Kate Winslet and Ralph Fiennes.
