President Barack Obama! Wow! The man has made historu. I hope we all now rally around him and make the heavy load he will carry on our behalf a bit lighter. The change he speaks of starts with all of us. He is president elect to all Americans. And he earned it in an amazing campaign effort with a very clear result.I say, “Congrats on a job well done, Mr. President!”

Forty years after we lost Dr. King and Bobby Kennedy, this is one amazing evening that many would not haved dared to imagine. Godspeed Mr. Obama.

I couldn’t be happier with the results. I certainly hope that all the controversy will be set aside so that he is allowed to do the job we elected him to do.

I don’t expect perfection, but I expect great things.

I know it’s going to take awhile to undo all of the bad that George W. Bush has done for the last eight yrs.

Obama has a very long road ahead of him and I feel he will be up for the task.

I am disappointed that prop 8 failed to pass here in CA.

        • If you do not know the actual things he believes in, you should not speak. Read what he really believes and why. I hate when things are written so one sided and open ended.

Why is it that so many christians believe in the death penalty.

I volunteered at a rape hotline for the kids of rape. There was a 13 yr old girl brutally raped by her father and a friend of his!! She ended up pg. As her counselor, i went with her to the abortion. I pray that this type of thing NEVER happens to anyone you love. The story may end differently. Believing in a persons right to choose is a fair cry from believing in the act of abortion!!

As for prop 8. It is so disgusting to me that people cannot let others be happy. Why is it that gays are not allowed to be married in their own church. Trust me, they would never go to just any church with they terrible judging happening. God did not say love everyone, except ....... Did he?

If you feel this way, that’s great for you. But to post it with such contempt is why we get upset. Just because you deem it wrong, does NOT make it wrong!!

When did I say that I believe in the death penalty?
I volunteer at Birthchoice and we do post abortion counseling. Having had an abortin myself I know what it’s like to live with the shame, and guilt and pain of the choice I made to take the life of my own child. Have you spoken to the girl you took to her abortion lately? Chances are she isn’t doing as well as you think she might be. Is it wrong of me to defend something that is so personal to me??? You seem to have no problem doing it. Only because I don’t believe the same way as you, you feel I am bashing or hating. What about freedom of speech? I guess that only applies if the words coming out of my mouth are the words you want to hear. I believe ALL life is sacred, ALL life.

And I have said and keep saying over and over, if that’s what you believe gr8!! The problem is you throw your beliefs on others. And when I came back to defend mine...you seem to be yelling.

you judged him out right and added the lil comment on his mom. I know many christians that are pro-choice. That makes them no better or worse than you.

I didn’t claim to know it all, I only spoke of MY own experience, something that happened TO me.
You can bash me, call me names and claim to know who I am in Christ, and that makes me ugly???

        • being judgemental, and critical to the beliefs of others is just wrong, thats whats UGLY.  We all have different views, beliefs, and MORALS.  OK, you are Christian, thats just beautiful.  I am CHRISTIAN as well, but I am not going to sit down, and critize someone for their beliefs.

We ALL are answerable to one MAN, and only he alone will decide wether we are RIGHT or WRONG, only he can FORGIVE us for our SINS...He asks us not to be Judgemental, for he is the Ultimate JUDGE...

I wish that when we throw things out there about Christianity, we would not just use parts of the Bible, but the WHOLE.

God says we‘re to spread the word of His gospel..not beat someone down with it...And deem them any less if they don’t get what is being said...He might have another person come and tell the same gospel(story) and it might have a different affect...Sometimes it’s not WHAT one says, but HOW it is said..and sometimes still it’s WHO says it!!

There are sooooo many problems in the world, and here in the states right now. We need to worry about that and how we can help to fix things, one person at a time. Let the rest go...it is not worth getting you panties in a bunch, being upset or having sleepless nights. It is time to roll up our sleeves and get to work!

You are truly missing the point. I thought Christians do not judge. I never did judge you, as, again, i keep saying believe what you like that’s gr8, just do not throw your beliefs on others. Simple. Live and let live...sadly some do not and feel the need to judge.

As for the abortion issue, I do not believe in abortion, but I do believe in the choice to or to not have one. Not the act, but the choice.

I am not using caps or angry as i write this in any way. You are explaining your points, as am I. No need to get upset over any of this.

And for the MZTRACY: you are too much. what exactly did you mean by that? It seems a lil confrontational, and I'm not gonna play.

no confrontation meant at all, just simply saying that the same thing you are acusing me of doing to others, you are doing to me. saying that by stating my opinion i was throwing my beliefs on others isn’t judging me? aren’t you throwing your beliefs on me when you state your opinion on how i should be? “don’t judge, live and let live”
and yes,  as Christians we are not suppose to judge but the Bible does call us to hold other believers accountable.

in stating my beliefs I meant to offend no one, but i will not apologize for those beliefs either. as an american it is my right just like everyone else on this site. God bless america

You threw your ‘opinion’ in here and i just did the same thing and spoke my mind and you went at me. And, no that is not judging...it is a fact! If you think that it is judging you, so be it. I am sorry you think that comment is meant to judge. It was pointing out what you wrote.

I never said how you should be either. Kept saying gr8 if that’s what you believe. So please stop trying to read between the lines.

In all honesty. I have judged others before in my life. I will freely admit it. Today I am stating facts.

Now, I am done with this ‘discussion‘. If you want to ‘keep at it’ feel free.

He will not be able to solve all the issues that face America today and neither would have the Republicans had they won the seat.  Why, because he is only a mere man.....

As humans we are reluctant and apprehensive to change.  We hate to be taken out of our comfort zone, but as the seconds turns into minutes, hours, days, month, years, we will adapt.  Change is Good.

You don’t like what the world is like then do something about it. Get involved and make a difference. We all need to adapt to what is coming...and it will be a change...for the better or worse..but it will be change. No one person can do this alone...it would have been hard for the R’s to do it and it will be hard for the D’s to do it as well...but we have a lot of problems right now here in the states and we need to brace ourselves for what is coming...it is not going to get better overnight.
