    • The dreaded menopause just set in! I was recently diagnosed with lacking estrogen and heading into menopause after going to the gynecologist and having blood work done.  My once flawless skin is now oily and breaking out.  I skin is worse now than when I was a teenager!

If you are going through peri-menopause or already in menopause then you probably are experiencing changes with your skin. Just when you thought the acne breakouts from the teenage years were over, you find yourself faced with them again. Instead of having beautiful, smooth skin, you might find yourself faced with dry skin, acne breakouts, or other problems! Unfortunately, menopause and skin problems go hand-in-hand. Therefore, the closer to your mid to late forties you get, the more you will start to notice changes in your body

Keep in mind that menopause and skin problems do not automatically mean you will be faced with the worst-case scenario. The challenge is that menopause symptoms, intensity of symptoms, frequency of symptoms, and duration of symptoms vary so much from one woman to another woman. In other words, you may have a list of symptoms whereas your sister or best friend has a completely different list. However, it is common for the majority of women to have issues with the skin such as dry skin, acne, and small veins.

Good news, though, when it comes to handling menopause and skin problems, you have a number of excellent options to consider. Therefore, rather than deal with oily, acne skin or dry, itchy skin, you can actually use some great anti-acne treatments, excellent hydrating creams, take vitamins or try herbs for much-needed relief.

Let’s discuss skin care treatments and products that will benefit our skin conditions so instead of feeling HOT, we can “LOOK HOT!”
