I love riding horses for exercise and the spiritual and emotional wellbeing that I get from them. Does anyone else ride horses or have them as pets?__

        • There is a man who uses a pasture next to my garden for his horse. He told me the horse wasn’t friendly and very skittish so I’ve shied away from him. I know nothing about horses. Over the past year, I’ve slowly been getting to know him, though. Now he comes to the fence when I water my garden, I give him a carrot, he likes to be squirted with the hose and he has started to stick his nose under my chin when I pet him.

We‘re becoming friends I think and also I think he likes the company, I notice he comes over to the fence when he hears my voice.

        • I love horses. I rode one for the first time a few years ago and absolutely loved it. Unfortunately, I don’t have the time to do it regularly but I would love to learn...perhaps when we retire.

        • I have had a love for horses since childhood. I worked on a TB farm as teenager. Then life got in the way. When my oldest children became teenagers they became interested, and so we bought a horse. Now we have 2 ponies, 2 horses, and this past weekend we bought 3 rescued horses at a auction. Our state has a non profit rescue organization that works in conjunction with the dept of ag to rescue horses out of neglectful or abusive situations and rehome them. I didn't mean to buy 3... but it just happened. They are only 2 year olds and are very skittish, but we are having lots of fun teaching them to be sociable. We are very much 'into' Parelli methods. Two of my children aspire to be Parelli instructors. www.parelli.com - It is all about enjoying horses, being safe, and having a partnership with them instead of just riding. It is SO cool. If ever there is a tour stop in your area let me know, and I can get you free tickets. It is awesome. We went 5 years ago not long after getting our first horse. It is so different from what I grew up with!
