First things first, I'm happy to have hot chocolate on hand for this event. A little off the mark, perhaps (and probably the only one like it's kind here tonight!), but it's rarely my style to follow the norm. And it's never my style to make anything from a recipe, LOL. So, my hot chocolate contribution:

I had originally intended to seek out happiness today, as I woke up cranky and not quite feeling it. However, as my day went on, I found happiness in a lot of little things, which led me to thinking about the bigger things that make me happy, too.

So, in no particular order, here are some of my happy moments (feel free to take whatever you need to get your own happy rolling!):

I'm so happy it snowedhere today! It was completely unexpected and really made a difference in my mood!

I'm so happy that I got another day with the man I love. He was by my side through today's good and bad, just like yesterday and last week and last year. Thinking about doing it all over again with him tomorrow makes me happy, too.

I'm so happy to be so lucky to have the friends I have. Oddly, as it has just occurred to me, they are all "L"'s. Lecia, Lisa, Linda and Lu: your friendship makes me happy!!

I'm so happy to have a job that allows me freedom to be my own boss, while providing me with the stability of an established company.

I am happy to be a recognized writer, even if that means something a little different every day. Just being able to write every day, in one way or another, is its own special kind of happiness.

I am happy that Jonathan will be home next week and will be spending Christmas with us. I've only just begun to appreciate the relationship I can have with my son, now that he's not under my feet (and under my skin!) all the time.

And, let's face it, I'm just happy to be FABULOUSLY ME. There's no one else quite like me anywhere in the world, and I wouldn't have that any other way.

Gosh, for someone who woke up wondering what in the world there was to be happy about, I’ve actually cut my list short here, for the sake of everyone who’s agreed to read and respond. I hope that make’s y‘all happy, too. estatic
