I often say to Mike, “I can’t imagine how women don’t get pneumonia with this!”

Hot, than cold, hot, than cold!!

      Frustrating!

I often keep a glass of lemon, ice water close by to cool done the ol’ bod.  And a zipper down sweat shirt to warm up.

      tongue out

      Whatever works!

        • Agreed! When my hot flashes were at their worst this past summer and fall I lived on ice water! And lightweight layered clothing was a must. Have you been having the hot flashes for long? Other than that, how has the peri-menopause been?

        • I hate when I start to flash and I’m the only person sweating in the entire room.

I have to admit when I first started, the hot flashes were on a timer, like every 90 minutes. That was a pain in the a$$. Now they happen maybe three times a day and they last quite a while. I carry folding fans so I can calmly get rid of that feeling, even one near my pillow so I can whip it out during those dreaded night sweats when I’m trying to sleep. I tend to keep one leg out from under the covers which seems to confuse the sensation, can’t sweat and freeze at the same time. When it gets really bad, I use one of those frozen blocks that you use in your lunch box to keep things cold and place it right on my neck .... ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

        • I really like the feeling of the cool tile in my bathroom up against my bare skin.... of course once the flash is gone I throw my sweats back on!

        • Mine mostly show up at night. There is a natural remedy that seem to work. it is called Feminene. I usually get it from a friend who is into all this stuff. Her name is Rene. Let me know if any of you need her info.

        • I just started Emerita 1/4 tsp 2 times a day and it is helped with the mood swings and clamminess.  This is great so far now I hope I won’t be the sweaty mess my sister is and she is a year younger.
