Keeping a Gratitude Diary is a very powerful, easy technique that could change your life. It is a great way to become more positive, happy and content, and attract everything you want...
Here’s how a Gratitude Diary works :
1. Decide to write down 5 things you are grateful for every day. It can be anything - feeling the sunshine on your face, speaking to a friend, etc.
2. Make sure to write 5 NEW things. Never repeat anything.
3. Smile as you write them down. I know this seems silly, but it works, trust me.
4. Write as little or as much as you want. Since this is on-line, you may want to keep a (hard copy) journal as well - so you can go back and see what you have written in the past.
At first, it may be hard to think of things to be grateful for, but after a while, it’ll become second nature. Soon you will expect things to happen that you will be grateful for.
This is a simple exercise which can change your focus every day. It will be a constant reminder of the happier side of life. If you stick with it, happiness will always win.
I love this especially since I have been keeping a grat journal for years now.
My grat journal is something I started when me and the hubz had separated and I questioned everything good. It really was helpful in rebuilding my confidence and faith.
Also it was especially helpful when my mom was dying. I had a chance to write things and experiences with her. And since then I have gone back to revisit. When I feel the need for her advice rereading some of my entries really helps me to know what she would have said.
