About a month and a half ago I was faced with one of thee most devastating things in my life that altered my life just a bit. For the past month my life was somewhat put on hold, because of a lie. I was so floored at what I found that someone said I had done and LORD knows it was truly a huge lie from the pit of hell. I couldn’t react in the flesh in the manner that I was once used to so I had to take it to GOD in prayer. Yes I got the victory with some added incentives, but it was a low blow and I would never ever want to go through something like it again, because the outcome may not be so pretty, so tell me how do you handle a lie being told on you???

        • Neicy this kind of thing is gutwrenching for people who conduct themselves honestly and with integrity. The only thing that comes to mind is, if we behave in a manner that completely contradicts the lie being told people will be most likely to believe the truth about us.

I’m sorry this happened to you. I know how much it must have hurt.heartbreak

        • I agree with Cynthia, also.  And I’m sorry that happened to you, Neicy.

My first response when something like that happens is to tell my very patient husband all about it, storm around the house, be really upset & angry for awhile, then cool down, then I’ll get depressed for awhile.

After that, I’m able to think about it more objectively, listen to advice, and pray about it until I know what I should do—confront the person, forgive them, or try to just get past it.  Sometimes I have to pray about it for a long time, or a lot of times! It’s so hard when people hurt you.

        • That is a blow and it rips straight through the fabric of your soul.  I agree so much with Cynthia.  You have to continue to live out your honesty and eventually you will be cleared.  Some however, will quickly believe the lie but that thing call TRUTH, it always rises to the top no matter what.  In the meantime you just have to let the shock wear off while talking to the Lord and seeking him.  If left up to self I am telling you..............

        • tongue out Something like this cuts you deep. Expecially when you pride yourself on being an honest good caring person. Im sorry this happened to you. Did you ask yourself what did this person gain or try to gain? Not that it really matters but it might help you heal. And its true while some might believe the lie others that truely know you will not. Just dont change who you are and dont add to the fire. What I mean is dont waste your time over this yo know its a lie but what helps it die out is not responding in any form to this person. Try to continue like it and they arent that importamt. I hope that made sence. Your a wonderful person and im sorry someone tried to tear you down. Boy were they in for a shock. heart
