How many zeros in a billion?
This is too true to be funny.

The next time you hear a politician use the
word ‘billion’ in a casual manner, think about
whether you want the ‘politicians’ spending
      YOUR tax money.

A billion is a difficult number to comprehend,
but one advertising agency did a good job of
putting that figure into some perspective in
      one of it’s releases.

A billion seconds ago it was 1959.

A billion minutes ago Jesus was alive.

A billion hours ago our ancestors were
      living in the Stone Age.

A billion days ago no-one walked on the earth on two feet.

A billion dollars ago was only
      8 hours and 20 minutes,
      at the rate our government
      is spending it.

While this thought is still fresh in our brain...
let’s take a look at New Orleans ..
It’s amazing what you can learn with some simple division.

      Louisiana Senator,
      Mary Landrieu (D)
      is presently asking Congress for
to rebuild New Orleans . Interesting number...
      what does it mean?

Well... if you are one of the 484,674 residents of New Orleans
      (every man, woman, and child)
      you each get $516,528.

Or... if you have one of the 188,251 homes in
New Orleans , your home gets $1,329,787.

Or... if you are a family of four...
      your family gets $2,066,012.

      Washington , D. C

      Are all your calculators broken??

We had absolutely no national debt...
We had the largest middle class in the world...
and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.

        • Interesting.  However the world has changed in 100 years so you can’t just look at the one side of the coin you have to look at the whole coin.  More people, more cars, more homes, more telephone, more resources needed to maintain all these things.

        • I feel bad for my kids.  If things keep going like they hav been the last month, the next generation will never know what it is like to be free and prosper...cuz they will be paying the debt that is being created.
Just look at the state of California (which happens to be Nancy Pelosi’s state!).  It is a perfect example of what happens when too many entitlements are given out and no one has the incentive to work!!!  Why should they?

        • You are right!  Our kids will be paying a debt to a dictator.  They will become “nothings” because there will be no one to inspire them to become successful because everyone will be the same.  Socialism???????  Hmmmm...YES!

Pelosi???  She is a sorry excuse of a woman!!  I’m sorry to say that...but she needs to be impeached.  Gone!!!  She is mental case!!!

        • im with 3sa....also the problems have been here since 6+ years ago. Obama is not the cause.

I am just glad I am not in his shoes having to fix what our previous regime did to our country!

          lest we forget...

My kids are inspired everyday by what my hubz and I teach them. We are responsible for ‘inspiring’ our kids.

I should stay away from anything that may be political. lmao

As for the question never was funny. quite scary isn’t it. TY for this blog!!
