Even though there might be people who say it is impossible to resist temptation, they are in reality mistaken. Although no one can be perfect, it is possible to resist sin and temptation and do all we can to live an honest and wholesome life. It is simply a matter of morals and ethics and actually knowing what is right and wrong.

To resist temptation and sin can include praying for strength for a variety of actually doing other things in order to avoid it. Christianity is a way to become stronger too. Many people stop doing things they know are wrong or things that they consider sin, when they become Christians. Others find resisting temptation and sin easy to do, because they have morals and values that essentially give them strength because of the way that they think.

In a big way, I think that if you are in the right frame of mind and you are willing to do whatever it takes to avoid sin and resist temptation, although it is not easy, it is possible. For many people there are no rules as far as sin and temptation go. And yet, these individuals are not Christians, and they usually don't believe in Christianity by any means either.

When people attempt to "do the right thing" sometimes we are condemned for our actions. This is of course because the world we live in is expecting us to "follow the crowd", even if this means going against our own thinking of what is right. This is what can make resisting temptation and sin so difficult.

Resisting temptation is really a matter of mental strength and faith. It is possible to avoid sin and resist temptation if you are really sincere and give an effort to make changes in your life. No one is perfect, but living a good life and doing what we should do can in many ways make it a lot easier to resist temptation and live the way we should. Always strive to do well and do those things that we know are right. If we do something wrong and we know its wrong, we are filled with guilt and this is a bad feeling. A feeling that is often hard to overcome!
