hi girlfriends, I am new to this group. Join this group because I think I can meet more friends here and may get some helps from you all. I just walked out from my marriage and found that I am scared what is ahead of me. Hmm, didn’t think about that until after I walked - ugh! Now, I realized that I may need to work until 80 to support myself. I am a meeting/conference planner. I am very good on what I am doing but now I know I need to get more business to support myself. I can’t get assistance from the same professionals- they said the business just come.. huh,uh!

Anyway, will really appreciate your help.

I also think of taking class as “Group Exercise Insturtor” or ” Make Up Artist“, what do you think?

      +1
      Love it

        • I wish you the best of luck.  If you walked out of your marriage then you had reason.  So stay strong and keep talking to your friends.  I can say I have been there and it was hard. But I am so much better off now then I was then.

        • Congrats Chinamoon!
I’m sure you’ll be fine! How exciting, you can start fresh! I know the thought of working til 80 isn’t so fun, but if you‘re doing what you love, it won’t really matter!!
I am also looking into taking a class in May, “Professional Make-up Artist” class. I’ve always wanted to take a class and learn techniques. I can watch make-up application videos for hours. Plus it’ll be a creative outlet or maybe I can do it on the side if I want to earn extra cash. So you should go for it!! Maybe try both the exercise and make-up and see which one you like best!
          Good Luck!

        • You are a strong person to take that huge step.  As Termagsea said, you won’t have to work until you‘re 80.  When one door closes another opens.

Trust your feelings.  You were in a bad marriage and you trusted your feelings to leave.  You are stronger than you think.  Listen to your heart.  You will be able to work things out.  Give yourself time to get through the emotions you are going through before making any big decisions about your career.  Once you have given yourself time to heal, you will begin to see things more clearly and you’ll be more open to receive ideas about your next step in your career.

Keep coming back here for advice from all the wonderful women who are so willing to give their thoughts and ideas.

          Best to you!

        • Wow, that’s a big decision, and obviously a much needed one. So good for you for doing what was best for you. I know it’s not going to be easy, but don’t look back, look forward and stay strong in all you do. This is a time of reinventing yourself! That’s a very good thing.

I’m sure you will find much support and strength through many of these wonderful women here on Fab40. Stay connected here, it truly will help you through some of the tougher days!

          happy

        • Chinamoon,  I am so happy to meet you.  I can’t say that I have experienced what you are going through, but I can say I have also had some scary times in life.
What you have done is so difficult- but you will gain so much confidence and respect because regardless of how difficult it may be you have chosen to do it.

Nothing worth having is easily gained- even if it is freedom.

I think the exercise instructor and make up artist both sound like a lot of fun and would enable you to form many new friendships.
Lastly- have passion in what ever you choose to do and you will be blessed richly. I am not attempting to sell you on my business, but will say that I have never been happier to be working with the team that I am in with Max International. The products we have are changing people’s lives and the reward that lies in that is unspeakable. If you would like me to share more about it- please message me or take a glance at my website. • How wonderful that you know that you can redo your life right now. I am divorced as well and some of the best years for me were after the divorce since I was able to rediscover myself.

Best wishes on your new life! Just always know that you can do it! As far as profession, do what you are passionate about.
