        • I have to run my cat back to the Dr. She is still having issues and they still don’t know what is wrong with her. She eats, seems alert and beats up her much bigger brother. She is just having a hard time breathing and is losing weight frown

I’m also making plans for sisters return to MI. She has a lot ahead of her but she is the only one who can do what needs to be done. (I keep praying)

Getting a bit of work done before I head out.

          Have a great day!

        • LOL, funny picture, Vikki!

Since my swamp cooler (excuse me... the air evaporation cooling system) died and this is the 2nd day of a heat wave, I’m doing recall on methods to cool down a house without a/c or a swamp cooler, from experience of living in New Mexico and some innovative ideas. I find it interesting. ;oD  I do have this awesome, big strong fan I found at a yard sale some years ago, and tilting it up gets the hot air stuck up at the high ceiling moving out. Cool!

Wait, I meant it’s cool I thought of it. LOL  But it is cooling down the house as well. ;oD

I’m counting down the days till the annual music fest party some friends host, and it’s this Saturday. I’ve been going out on the deck in the sun for short periods to get some color so I don’t sunburn and I’m not pasty white like I’ve been hiding in the closet with my shoes.

I hope all you ladies have a Fabulous Tuesday!

          Cathie

        • Good morning Vikki.  I am trying to wake up.  School is out for a few weeks for me and I am trying to catch up with house work and yard work.  I also have to get my dryer fixed.  I cant find the issue with it on my own.

        • Good Morning Ladies, today my meeting was rescheduled for Thursday. So i have time to make up for Yesterday. I have so much work, I am just taking a breath before I move on to the next task. Plus my cycle is trying to start, so my stomach is cramping not a good feeling any day of the week.

        • Good Afternoon all!

               Prayers to your dad, V!

Well, our son Steve is off to his grandparent’s place in Hancock, NY.  He has been giving his life and goals a lot of thought lately and decided that working construction is not going to be his thing...possibly culinary school or some type of trade.  It all sounds good to me.  There were a couple of things in his way the last year or so, but they are resolved and it is time to move ahead.

I am hoping to get out for a bit this afternoon since he did not take the Honda but chose to have his dad drive him and meet halfway with his grandparents.  That was very thoughtful since he and I have been sharing the Honda and now it is here for me for a while.

I hope everyone has a great Tuesday and try to experience some small thing that could brighten your day!

          heartheart

        • Not only is it Tuesday, but IT‘S THE FIRST DAY OF SUMMER! Not sure if that’s a good thing or not... I suppose it depends where you live. I know it’s a cliche, but it’s not the heat I mind, it’s the humidity.

        • Good afternoon everyone...

Today is the longest day of the year...(that’s what I’m told)...and it sure has been a long day here at work.  WE are slow which I am grateful for a little break. I was busy yesterday.
I’m sore today due to my “walking” regime.  I got in 5 miles yesterday and this morning I walked 3 more.  I will walk 2-3 more tonight.  Got to get this exercise program going.  I took two Advil earlier and that did help.  I think tonight I will be soaking in the whirlpool in some Epsom salt.

It’s a scorcher here today...here is our local weather forecast.SEVERE WEATHER:

TUESDAY: Mostly sunny and hot. High 101, winds W 5-10 mph.

WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny and hot. High 100, winds S 5-10 mph.

WEATHER DISCUSSION: ‎100 degree heat will be possible through midweek. Heat index values (what it actually feels like) will run between 100 to 105. Isolated showers/t-storms will be possible each afternoon. We should see a better chance of rain and a break in the heat later in the work week. Stay cool out there and be sure to stay hydrated!.

        • Good afternoon ladies.  I just got home from work and in out of the deluge.

Unlike Maryclark all that’s in our forecast is rain, rain, rain.  I am so thankful I live on a hill.  There is flooding EVERYWHERE.  I look out my front window and down the hill I can see the north branch of the creek- out of its banks.  Came across the bridge into town from work.  Creek out of  its banks.  Missouri river, 35 miles away, out of its banks.

My daughter that lives here in town went down to her dad’s ranch for the weekend.  Daughter who lives at the ranch, went to town for work this morning.  One stuck in town, one stuck at the ranch because at least one road has washed out.

        • Momofthreeprincess....I LOVE CLOTHES HUNG OUT ON A CLOTHES LINE...  I am seriously thinking of getting my son to put me up a nice clothesline to do the same thing.

That lint that is in your dryer....that is your clothes....and it’s just so more energy efficent.
And I love the way they smell...especially sheets...heart

        • Well Ladies,

I’ve been out on the deck to get some color before the music fest party this weekend and wearing my sandals to break them in. 2” wedge sling back with open toes I bought back in the end of March when sandals were going for 50% off. (Easter shoe sale.)

Wishing I had a slice of watermelon, some grapes and cantalope to make a fruit salad for dinner. Something cool and juicy sounds so good today!
