I’m scared....No really...I’m scared....My little one is just 8 months old and already he’s wearing me out...He wants me and only me...ALL OF THE TIME...My husband tries, but he cries for me and tries to get away from him...And now he’s teething times four...So he won’t take anything by spoon (He won’t even open his mouth)...He only wants a bottle and he’s a big boy with an otherwise healthy appetite...So guess what?...I have to fix bottles around the clock just to keep him satisfied...The other children must miss the peace and quiet that used to surround the house..(Well not really...c‘mon...there’s 4 other children fighting for this and that..)...I’m constantly thinking out loud...“Is it bedtime yet?“...Just to start the madness all over again...

        • I know this is a really late comment, like 6 months later, but WOW I feel for you.  How are things progressing?  By now I guess your baby is 13 months.  Is he walking now, exploring new things?  Are your 4 other children starting to enjoy him more now that he’s mobile and maybe a little more interesting to them?  Hopefully this is the case because that’ll take more of the 24/7 burden off of you.

I have a 3 year old, which I had when I was 40.  We also have 2 other boys, now 11 and 15.

Ugh I do remember though, that first year.  I gotta tell ya, that newborn phase is so much harder when you‘re 40 then when you‘re 28.  Exhaustion to the max!

Hope things are getting better for you.  Give us an update.
