I am asking for my prayer warriors to help me out today. My husband starting a plumbing co. 3 years ago and God has always been faithful to provide and I trust that, but trust in people, not so sure!! We are continually struggling with people to pay us.  My husband is an honest hard working man who always completes his work in a timely fashion. But our customers, whether it’s a homeowner or a bigger commercial job, never pay us when the job is completed. They constantly make us wait. Our invoices say “due within 7 days of receipt” but they always have an excuse. It is very difficult for me to manage our finances when I never know or can’t rely on money owed to us coming in. Please pray for our continued trust in the Lord to provide. We don’t want to be an Abram or Sarai and work our own will into this but when I see money that needs to go out and see nothing coming in, I admit I can get scared. Thanks ladies, your prayers are very much appreciated

        • I am praying, Sassy, that God would resolve this very sensitive and frustrating situation.  Yes, I do agree with you that your husband has every right to request payment from his customers within the seven day time zone.  By chance, has your husband or you considered putting in writing a new policy in which he could receive the payment IMMEDIATELY following the service?  Or how about having the clients pay half of the total cost at the time of service?

May God work a miracle on your behalf!

          Blessings,
          Dana

        • All of our invoices say “payment due upon reciept” but sometimes we fax them because they are very detailed. On th bigger jobs, ones he “bids” payment is due at certain phases of the job and it can take up to 3 weeks for them to pay!! FRUSTRATING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

        • How about typing up a new contract to stipulate a BRAND NEW POLICY FOR PAYMENTS???  Maybe the detailed fax information is being overlooked because there is too much to read.  It sounds as if customers are taking advantage of your husband.

        • I am praying for you and your husband Sassy. It may be frustrating but God will work this out. Remain faithful to that which God has called you two. Trust in the Lord (not people) with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths (finances) straight. I know you may be familiar with this scripture but it’s true to your situation. Although you are awaiting for people to pay ask God what to do in the meantime. Also you may want to read to encourage yourself Matthew 6:25-33 NIV version prefably, it’s lengthy for me to type but I’ll keep you, your husband, and your business before the Lord with you. God will do what He said He will do. He’s a God that cannot lie.
