As a child of a family that was very much like the family of
“Leave It To Beaver,” or “The Andy Griffith Show,” I must admit that I wore “rose colored” glasses during my childhood
and into my adult life. I married very, very young hoping to
recapture what my parents had together. Why they allowed me to marry so young I will never know. Perhaps it was that they married young and saw that I had the potential to partner as they had.

Without boring you with details I was married for 3 1/2 years and bore 2 beautiful children that were only 15 months
apart.  I was devastated when my husband asked for a divorce so that he could be free to roam his high school stomping grounds once we returned from Germany.

My “rose colored” glasses remained even into my early twenties when I was introduced into the factory working field. I remained at the factory for 9 years as a single parent and vowed to never remarry! But then I met my “Prince Charming.”  He was handsome, destinguished, and an engineer climbing the ranks quickly. We moved from my home town to where I live now and I suddenly became the wife of
a Plant Manager to an “up and coming” company. I was a blue color worker and the circles we were involved in were more than a little socially challenging for me. I never felt good enough and I must admit it was the wives who were intent on making me feel estranged and unworthy of their presence.  I was away from my home town,my family. I felt lost and alone.

It was in 2004 that I finally lost my “rose colored” glasses when my “Prince Charming” passed away to a heart attack.  He had retired early from his gaines as a stock holder to the company he helped nurture and bought a Sporting Goods Business.  A great deal of money was upside
down since he was on the “buying side” of the year. I have
been dealing with the estate for 4 years now.

Having been a single mother for a number of years, working in a factory, leaving my family, having my self worth tested, being a widow, owning two businesses.... I have earned
to regain my “rose colored” glasses back !!!
AND I HAVE !!!!! I met the man of my dreams... my one true
soul mate who makes me love life so much. He makes me laugh as I have never laughed before. And funny... THAT IS HOW THE ROSE COLORED GLASSES CAME TO BE FOR ME....... My mother always told those who met me as a child,“She loves life so much and sees the world through “rose colored glasses.”
Life has come full circle and I have accomplished much.
