I was wondering.....Now that another book store is going out of business, have you ever wondered how you are going to be able to look at craft and cook books before you buy them?  I like to look at their contents before I buy these type of books.  But how can you review these books, online?

        • Thanks TL,  I have a Sony ereader.  I haven’t adapted to it very well.  I still like to read the old fashion way....  I’ll go dust off the dust of my ereader and check it out.

        • don’t you have other book chains or independent book stores.

Borders went bust over in the UK last year only one store took off the rest never made it

        • If you like reviewing them online go to amazon.com or goodreads.com  You can find reviews for about anything on either sites.

While I buy e books (mainly amazon) I still like the live book version for home and garden, cooking or self help. I do find a lot at Targets, Barnes and Noble, Books a million and independent local stores.

        • I was upset when I found our Borders was closing I got a few books for a bit of a bargin I must say that I do miss it a lot.  We do have a Barnes & Noble but it is much smaller so the selection of books weren’t as many.

I too like to browse through books before I buy especially cookbooks and coffee table books.  Electronics have there uses but in my opinion there is nothing like the real thing.

        • Do you have a Half Price bookstore? New and used books are sold there for half the price. Of course, the store name implies that!lol They do have a pretty good selection of books. Also, your books and magazines can be sold to them.
In fact, my daughter and I are going there this week to do just that.

I was shocked to find out Borders was closing. I was there two weeks ago and bought a couple of books.
