We speak of the passion of Christ (the obsession; the enthusiasm, the zeal, and the determination), that He must have had for your salvation. His passion; His love for you, was and is, so strong that He suffered the most horrible way for you. He died in your place...not because you didn't deserve to die, but because He loved you so much. His love for you was too intense for Him to watch you suffer, without giving you a way out. You were the object of His intense interest; you were His reason for living on earth and dying in pain. You were the purpose for His passion and the reason for His pain. He was so passionate for you, that He would do nothing short of dying for you. He could not take His eyes off of you; He could not take His mind off of you. You mean the world to Him.

Wow, had He not had that passion for you; had He not loved you with a deep love; had He not seen you as a valuable pearl and a treasure, He would not have died for you. Christ's passion for you to live, is the same passion that caused Him to suffer and die. Jesus' passion for you, to be made free, is the same passion that caused Him to endure the cross.  Who could love you like that?  Who could sacrifice more for you than Jesus did? Who could offer you anything greater than Jesus has?  Who could be more passionate about your life than Jesus Christ is?

When you think of those who may have turned their backs on you; those who forgot about you and put you down; those who hurt you and broke promises to you, don't get angry. Don't allow yourself to be overcome and absorbed with thoughts of those who let you down, because there is One who will lift you up. There is someone who loves you with an undeniable, unwavering and unfailing love.

As you go through your day, don't forget to thank God. Don't forget to acknowledge your need for Jesus, "Thank you for loving me Lord, because I'd die without you!"

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

Thank you Jesus,...I'd die without you!!!
