You have just signed up and suddenly you have a welcoming party on your page and you have to negotiate the site and your thinking what is here?
Well let me tell you about Fab40 it's a site where people reach out to be your friend you might not have met them or spoken to them or gone to school with them like Facebook but they will guide you round.
You joined most likely because you're 40+ plus and beyond and it goes without saying your fabulous and you want to meet like minded women. Well we are here and we are chatting so join in or start your own blog and introduce yourself. There are lots of us who have been on for a few years and we will always answer questions.
There are loads of groups to join which cover a million topics and you can ask a question and people will always answer and give advice.
If you want to lose weight we have a group for that if you need inspiration to get of the sofa and exercising we can give that. See Vikki or Annie
I've been here since October 2009 and some nights I have cried laughing and other nights I have been humbled by other people's stories of overcoming great obstacles. I sadly haven't met any Fabbers but yes there are trips – last October a mini riot by all accounts in Las Vegas –I'm waiting to see the fall out in an episode of CSI!
But the best bit is the friendship of some wonderful woman from all across the USA. The site has also produced some amazing off springs in terms of the collective friendships working in partnership with each other.
The Fabulous Laurie Z has her blog radio and from this two other Fabbers Mz T and Lazy Lola with very debilitating illnesses have set up the Padded Room where they chat and inform on life with constrains that most of us wouldn't understand.
So please join in and chat because it's so worth it and if you can't up load pictures or work out how to blog check the link below.

Hope this helps and you have as much fun on Fab40 as we do.
Just one last tip ask Cynthia about her chocolates apparently they are heavenly.
Yes when you join you will get the most warm and wonderful welcome from many of the Fabbers here. So instead of denying their friendship just hold off on doing anything until you get to know us. Unless of course you can tell right away that you want to be our friend.
I know Vicki aka Ukgirl has included a link on tips n tricks. One thing I want you to know up front is the more friends you have the more active your dashboard will be and you will be able to see what we are all up to!
Welcome and let’s have some Fabulous Fun!

Screen Names – we are on the WWW so if you don't want your business public give yourself a screen name and then you don't see all your posts and your profile when someone Googles you.
So be safe and sensible and give yourself a screen name.
I google myself often just to see what comes up and I don’t have much that comes up from here. I use a screen name.
I love this site. Been around since August 2008. I’ve made a lot of friends here - both virtually and in person. So glad I found Fab40!
Just a little tip. If you want to leave a comment put it on someone else’s profile rather than your own. If it’s on yours no one will see it unless they go specifically to your profile.
Good point Cynthia people forget that as I think they assume their wall comments appear in the dashboard feed
I really enjoy participating in the groups and there are so many to choose from. If you don’t find one in a topic you really want to converse in - start one. You’ll find that in no time members will jump right on in. It’s a great way to break the ice and meet other members with similar interests.
Another feature that just amazes me here is the camaraderie when one of us is struggling with something in our life. The support, the good sound advice, the sharing of other who have come through similar situations is astounding.
Cynthia that is such a good point - the warmth of the women of Fab is amazing
