We’ve definatly had our down times but come thru with Gods help. It’s taken that long for us to realize if you put God first the rest will be okay... it works! I love making new friends and look forward to learning more about you all.

        • My name is Robin and...I’m...a...bagaholic.  Seriously.  It’s so out of hand, I’m running out of hiding places!  I know of women who can look at shoes and have an orgasm, but, for me, it is the purse.  I only buy shoes when I need to complete an outfit.  I have 4 sons.  Sharif,25, Omar,22, Sal,17, brooding, laid back and sooo into his “look” and my Ali,11, born in the CAR, and the only one who makes it a point to hug and kiss me goodnight, everynight.  My 2 girls are Monica,14 (SAVE me!!), and Victoria,9, my artistic diva in the making.  I have been married to Musa, a wonderful Palestinian man for the last 27 years(in Dec.)  I have 1 grandson, Maximus, (Sharif’s) and I just can’t get into this “grandmother” thing.  I mean, I have a NINE year old!  When I was kid, grandmothers didn’t have nine year olds!  Ok, in all fairness, I DID get married when I was 17.  Somehow, I always have to throw that in.

        • Hi my name is Cheryl.  I’m 45 and live in Raleigh, North Carolina.  I’m originally from NY so I grieved on 9/11 with the rest of the world.  I used to help out the State by being a Proctor for the Civil Service Exams in Tower 1.  I have 2 kids.  Craig, who is 20 and a step-daughter Olivia who is 16 going on 30.  My son is attending Johnson & Wales in Charlotte to be a Chef and own his own restaurant.  My daughter wants to be an actress. I have been married (for the 2nd time) to my best friend Al for over 14 years.  I love my job so it’s not actually a job.  I love to shop in 2nd hand and consignment shops. I love rollerblading and running into trees, parked cars and anything else unlucky enough to be in my path. I don’t know the definition of slow down except I happen to be in a slow down period for the moment.  But...this too shall pass!

        • Hey everyone I’m Cathy.  I’m in South Bend, Indiana.   I have 3 fabulous daughters, Dana 17, Kelly 15 & Robin 12.

Dana and I are working on college applications tomorrow.  This whole process will be very challenging.  Her grades are so so.  She’s a cheerleader and sooooooo social!  She just experienced being “dumped” by her first love... he left for college and lost his mind!  But that’s a whole other story...  Anyway, she has great friends and is looking forward to a great senior year.

Kelly just started high school this year and is trying to find her bearings... really smart kid, kind of edgy/artsy.  She started carrying a purse today so she doesn’t feel like a boy walking around (her words!)  She is the one that is most like me when I was growing up... it cracks me up!  She wants to go to college in Chicago or New York and is already getting her ducks in a row.

Robin still has some little kid in her.  She’s not caught up in all the fashion stuff yet. Her challenge is being in a 6th grade class with 52 kids and only 12 of them boys.  That many girls... it gets pretty ugly...  There are two classes and the really mean ones are not in hers this year, Yahoo!

I run my own photography studio in town.  I work way too much!  Balancing everything is a constant challenge.  I’ve been married for 21 years next month, and yeah we’ve had our ups & downs too!  But right now it’s all good!

Look forward to hearing more about what’s going on with you and your family.

        • Hi!
I’m Cheryl. I live in Rhode Island and I’m a single Mom, have been for over 7 years.
          I have 5 children:
Lauren (23) who is finishing her Bachelor’s in Nursing and just married Geoff, an engineer who is like a son to me. They just bought their first home. Lauren is focused, driven and she’s my serious girl (but there’s a hefty dose of Mom’s bent humor in her, too!)
Ashley (22) has her own apartment with a roommate and just finished school. She’s a phlebotomist and is continuing her education in Ultrasound. She’s the big hearted “Mother Theresa” of the family.
          At home I have:
Zachary (13 in November) who likes to be called “Zach“. :) He’s an avid skateboarder, great artist and forgets to pick up after himself. He hugs and kisses me goodnite so he’s forgiven.
Maxx (10) is an animal activist. He is so “into” animals and wildlife that I fear I may own a giraffe before long. He’s a caring, big hearted boy with a dimples that allow him to have extra chocolate at night..just because I’m a sucker.
Mya (8 this month!)is my little doll/spitfire. She’s got my green eyes and my ex’s auburn hair. Does that spell trouble?? haha. She’s an amazing little artist and wants to be an illustrator. She spends her days annoying her brothers then kissing up to them by making their beds. :)

When I write all that I see that I’ve had 5 kids and wonder how I’m still alive. :)

        • My name is Michelle.  I am forty until October 25th.  I have three kids, Chris is 13, Olivia is 4 and Jack is 3.  Olivia and Chris pick on each other alllllll of the time.  Imagine hearing a thirteen year old boy and almost five year old girl pick at each other.  Jack gets along with everyone and is, in his own right, a force of nature.  He can dismantle anything, without warning.  I have screws from his bed to prove it.  I don’t even know how to put them back!

I have a busy husband who is a great guy, and a wonderful father.  I joined the site today, and think this is a great place for me to jump in.  Hello!
