I love numbers. I love to do calculations and to see trends. Recently, I read a blog where someone did a full recap since the time they started Sparkpeople. Wow! I was impressed! That made me think, if I do a recap every couple of weeks, I can really see my trends and (hopefully) improve on them. So I decided to try it today.

Some of the things I found were surprising and some weren’t. Either way, this will provide a good challenge for me to constantly improve. Here’s what I found...

I’m down 1 pound this month. Yeah! I could do better. If I improve some of these other areas, it will help.

      Login to Sparkpeople
      I’ve logged in 13/13 days. 100%!

      Blog Everyday
      I’ve blogged 13/13 days. 100%!

      Calories Eaten
I averaged 1420 per day. This is within my range!
      I’ve logged my nutrition 12/13 days! 92%
      I’ve been within range 11/12 days! 92%

      Drink Water
I’ve average 4.72 glasses per day
      I’ve logged water 12/13 days! 92%

I’ve average 225.81 calories burned per day
      I’ve logged fitness 11/13 days. 85%
I haven’t done any strength training these past 2 weeks.

Well, it is clear that water and fitness are my hotspots. I’m not going to lose pounds and inches by just talking (if you could do that I’d be really thin by now!!)

Tomorrow, our Fabbers Against Flab team will be starting a 21 day challenge and I will be focusing on water. For 21 days I will try to meet my water goals and as it takes 21 days to make a new habit, I hope to form this habit.

        • I’m terrible at measuring my progress Annie. I generally use an article of clothing and put it on every few days to see if it’s getting loose on me. Not very scientific.

You‘re inspiring. I read your posts on Sparkpeople and your consistency is truly inspiring. You can’t help but succeed in this.

        • Numbers don’t have a lot of meaning to me.  And, I’m terribly inconsistent.  I may drink all my water one day and most of it the next, but rarely remember to log it.  Mostly I measure my progress by how my jeans fit.  They‘re getting a little loose, I’m making progress.  If I can keep it up, I’ll be back into a size 16 by Christmas time.

          Annie, you are absolutely inspiring!!!
