      Good Morning!

It’s Saturday and my husband came home for the weekend. It has been almost 2 weeks since he has been home. I am so excited about him coming home and just spending time with him.
Normally on Saturday nights it would be date night for us. We would go out with friends for dinner and conversation. Or we would go out for dinner, movies, and cocktails. Something! We have driven to Nashville for a Saturday night there. We planned on extending date night into date weekends and going to Atlanta or Ashville. And we may still.
Tonight however we were planning on going out for margueritas, chips n salsa. But he has worked so much OT, then drove 5 hours from Memphis to come home. I almost feel like it’s unfair to want to go out. He has worked hard and deserves his rest.
We’ll see how he feels when he gets up. Right now my task is keeping the birds quiet so he can sleep in.

What do you and your husband or SO do on Saturday nights? Do you have plans for the day? Do you schedule date nights?

Let’s chat.... I’m gonna grab a refill on my coffee.

        • Well, as some of you know, I’m not married. So the husband thing doesn’t apply to me, however, I do date and my social life rocks! happy estatic
I haven’t decided yet what I really feel like doing tonight. I could go out on a date or with friends. There is alot going on today.. a local club owner is having a gigantic celebration today with live music all day and night to honor their 11th anniversary. This is a good thing because this particular person has contributed largely to the music scene. So, there’s that. Or, maybe go see a movie then head up to Milwaukee.
It is supposed to storm here for the next 2 days so maybe staying in may be what I feel like doing later. I figure I’ll make a decision by this afternoon. happy
So, to answer your question, it could be a date night or a relaxing night or a group of friends night. happy I don’t know yet.
That refill on the coffee smells good and sounds fantastic...  be right back! happy

        • Jen the music thing sounds awesome! I wish we were in Memphis where the music is outstanding every night. Here in Chattanooga it’s hit or miss. Unless we go to ATL or Nashville.
While I was separated my date nights consisted of going out with friends or my sisters. We always had a blast. So of course Date night can be whatever YOU make it.
Some of my favorite things to do while living in Detroit were:
          Hang in a martini/piano bar
Go to a sports bar during a good sporting event
          Concerts
Karioke bars.....those are so much fun
Game night with family and friends
Going over to Windsor, ONT (the view of Detroit is outstanding from there) to the casino’s, Little Italy, shopping or fun.
          The casinos in downtown D

There isn’t that much of a night life here in Chattanooga but I can do most of the same here. The sporting and casino’s are about the only thing missing.

I will be on the look out for a gorgeous man, but is it ok if he wears cowboy boots and hat?

        • Now that I’m thinking about it....

Why doesn’t anyone ever hold tupperware ( or something similar) parties on a Saturday night?

It could be a fun night if planned right. Invite single or alone friends, serve Saturday night beverages and snacks, make it like going out to the bar or some other social scene and do weave the party thing into that.

Hmmmmm..... I have a friend who does home parties and I’m going to suggest this...

        • Heck yes a cowboy hat and boots are ok. I can linedance and ride a horse! Bring it on! lol (I’ve got a couple of those hats myself lol)
          Ya never know!
I like your idea of a piano bar. There is one called ‘Centanni’ in Milwaukee that I LOVE to go to. Joe Hite plays in there 4 nights a week and is excellent. He’ll play anything you want, sings, people are dancin everywhere. It’s super cool in there too- looks like a giant loft. Love it!
As for the single part- hopefully I’ll meet someone one of these days. I’m not nearly as freaked out by being single anymore. I don’t really look or worry about it. I see some women out there who hook up with the 1st guy that comes along just so they don’t have to be alone and it’s wierd to me. Not my thing.. I guess I’m really choosy over who I’ll allow ‘into my hula hoop.’ lol
Sounds like you’ve lived in some exciting places! Cool!

        • As for the Saturday night girl/party get together, we do that occasionally too. Mary Kay Margaritas! Get made up & go out. Or an undercoverwear party can be a blast. Candle parties, etc. Party Lite has some cool stuff. Good idea!

        • Yes they do! And I would really enjoy those cookies too.

Hopefully you find something better to do than listen to your friends complain about their marriage. I usually will complain to my husband if there are any issues and save the freind time for all fun.
After all my hubby is the only one that can actually fix anything I am unhappy about.

My realtor just called and I have 3 house showings today.....fingers and toes crossed!

Hope everyone has a great day, no matter what they do!

        • We are headed to the In-laws for dinner. My FIL in the early to mid stages of dementia and my guy is feeling the need to spend as much time with him as possible so we are going for a visit.

There seems to be a lot of tension in our house these days. Either it will make it better or worse.

        • Every day is date night.  giggle

We got up at 3:30 a.m. this morning to head to an AKC master hunter hunt test with our German Shorthaired Pointer Bella.  Got there at 7 a.m.  She was running in the second brace.

Phil said she broke away for the retrieve after the blank gun was shot.  She failed.  Boo hoo.  We’ll try again tomorrow.

Sitting here watching the Penguins hockey game starting which seems unreal since it’s 84 degrees outside!  LOL!

          You all have fun!!!
