        • Good morning all. estatic

It’s not going to be a super day here.  We had softball sized hail last night.  Our little town is a disaster.  I’ve got ten holes in my roof.  Our hunting lodge down the street got all the north windows broken out.  I was down there cleaning up glass for a couple hours last night.  Power was out for at least 4 hours.  Couldn’t finish baking bread to go to market today.  We lost windows out of all three vehicles, although mine is still driveable.  Lots more cleanup going on today.

My satellite dish took a hit so I have no internet.  Just happened to catch a signal from my neighbors this morning.  I’ll loose that as soon as the wind comes up.

        • Just for frame of reference, that’s a size 10 foot beside that hail stone, and that was after it had laid there thawing for an hour.

        • Top of the morning to you ladies!
I’m gonna try my hand at roller skating this morning. It has been over 10 years since my last time around the ring. I hope I don’t break a leg.estatic

I’m also going to purchase a rod and a reel. I used to enjoy fishing when I was younger and thought why the hell not? My idea of fishing is packing a lunch, getting a good book and sitting under a shade tree. If the fish bite great, if not I’m still enjoying a lazy day.

All you chickies have a great day !

        • Wow that is some big stuff that fell out of the sky.  We had a few storms here last night nothing like what TL got but much needed rain.  Its suppose to rain all day off and on which I will take over the heat.  Have no idea what I will be doing today.  Just might get off my ass and take pictures of the the jewlery pieces that I have made and see if I can sell them.  I am running out of money and if I can sell a few great.  If not I love them myself and like to wear them.

Anyhow I’m just glad to be off. I got me a nice bottle of my favorite “Barefoot Bubbly” Mascato Spumante’ chillin’ in the frige for later. The weatr is cloudy and rainy so I’ll be spinning out some old skool sounds today just maxin’ and relaxin’

Tulip I’m sorry to hear of your mishap with the storm I hope it won’t cost you a lot to have the roof repaired. We‘re expecting thunderstorms today as well, be safe.

        • I am sorry about the hail WOW! Just when I was gonna complain about the sauna heat wave we are experiencing in my neck of the woods. I am counting my Blessings right about now. I just got back from my first roller skating lesson, it was a blast! What they say is true “what you don’t use you lose“. After being a roller skating dynamo back in the day-I could barely stand up on the skates. Well atleast I’ve got my balance and can stand up hopefully after a few more lessons I’ll be back in the grove and show those young pups just how to move estatic

        • Nerissa, I can sympathize with the sauna-like heat.  That’s tough to take.  We’ve got it here today.  I’ve just been out getting the twigs and branches raked up and piled up in my yard and the empty lots and the neighbor lady’s yard.  Whew!  It’s humid.  Wish I could take a decent picture of the divots in the lawn the hail made.  Very impressive!

Insurance should cover the cost of a new roof.  Might do some shopping around and see if we can have someone put steel on it.
