I have a friend named Angie Aguilar that was involved in a horrible car accident just over a year ago.
She was driving home on the freeway from work, when her car was rear-ended.
Apparently, a 16 year old boy had taken his parents car without permission and was speeding down the freeway. He rear-ended Angie’s car doing 90 m.p.h. Her car flipped over several times, and Angie was injured. Her left hand was severely dragged, she lost 4 fingers. When I talked to her after the accident, she described her hand as looking like hamburger meat.
Last night I was watching one of my favorite shows, LA Ink. As they were showing scenes of what was to come on that particular episode (titled 66 Nikkis‘), I heard a voice that sounded familiar. It was Angie’s husband Alex.
In tribute to Angie and what she had endured, he decided to have St. Michael, The Archangel for personal protection, tattooed on his inner arm.
He said that Angie had always felt she had an angel protecting her, even before the crash.
Her surviving the accident just confirmed that for him.

We’ve had so many blogs lately on Angels and I could not help but think that it was quite ironic that the episode with Angie and Alex last night had a reference to that.
Our Angels truly are with us everyday.

This is a picture of St. Michael. Alex’s tattoo is similar.
