    • This was going to be a word or two about my husband being gone for 2 weeks.....and how excited I am to be home alone!

However, the circumstance upon which have taken him away are nothing to celebrate.

I have wanted to tell you ladies for awhile now, so you all could pray for her, but I guess I was in some sort of deniel about it.
My husband and I have been married for 22 years. She’s my mom too.
We learned at Thanksgiving that Dot, my mother in law has cancerfrown
She is having surgery on Wednesday.
My husband, James....we call him Buddy, is her only son. He is going to stay with her for 2 weeks to help her during and after the surgery. He is such a wonderful son, father, husband, uncle, friend. Oh Shoot!! now I’m missing him.

I will go and relieve him when he is ready to come home. He has a sister and a huge close family.
We decided that he and I would alternate so the family wouldn’t miss so much work and wear themselves out.

I have faith that she is going to pull thru this just fine. We have our savior Jesus Christ on our side and he already knows the outcome.
My only concern is keeping her spirits up. She lost her mother 3 years ago and has been very depressed. They were very close and lived together as long as I can remember.

Buddy, was raised in a house of 5 women...5 generations! I believe this is why he is such the gentle man he is.
He truly understands a woman and all her unique-ness.

So, I would like to ask you ladies to keep Dot, my mother in law in your prayers. Pray that the fight she will need to pull thru this will be there for her.
I told her to keep those tennis shoes on, because we got some fighten to dohappy
Much love to all of you and thank you for being such a great support system.

        • Father, You know all about us, you’ve numbered every hair on our heads, so nothing comes as a surprise to You.  You know the concerns surrounding our sister’s mother-in-law, Dot; we lift them to you, placing them squarely in Your lap, and leaving them there.  Thank you for sending Jesus to carry all our iniquities and heal all our diseases.  We stand firmly in that, claiming victory over any illness that tries to rob us of our inheritance of divine health.  Thank you for giving Lisa peace in the midst of this.  Thank you for giving James as her covering, and for giving him such a caring heart.  Lord only in You can we truly fulfill any promises made, so strengthen them as they speak to this mountain.  This is Yours God, and we leave it with You.  In Jesus’ Name.  AMEN!

        • mztracy, thanks for the cyberhugs!
I just spoke with my husband, they went today for the pre-op. She is in pretty good spirits, I had to tease her a little bit. Her doctor is in Fayetteville, NC, I told her she had better not try to get them to stop by so she could see the strippers while they were there. She just laughed!

I really appreciate all the prayers and kind words as I know she does also.
I will update as we move forward.
You ladies are wonderful and fill my heart with joy and warmth.

Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our depts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, For ever.
          Amen.
