Hello to all, i,ve read some really great post on here, and i first of all, would like to say Thank you to all my sisters in Christ. for all your support and prayers.the reason for this is, i notice myself quoteing the bible quite a bit.when someone ask a question,i answer(if need be)from the bible.so what im  basicaly trying to say is,no matter what is being said ,there is always a quote in the bible to back it up.leaning on his promises, really does make sense to me after all. please tell me what you think?  thank you.have you ever had a time in your life where, everything could be backed up by his words?

        • Ten years ago, when I was six months pregnant, I had problems during my pregnancy.  I had to have many tests taken and during an ultrasound, I was told by a specialist that my baby was not receiving enough oxygen.  The doctor thought that the baby had encephalitis, which is fluid on the brain and quite serious.  The doctor said that we would have to wait one entire month before repeating the ultrasound test.

After that ultrasound, out of fear, I cried the entire way home worried that something terrible was wrong with my unborn child.  Once I returned home, as I stood anxiously in my bedroom, I suddenly felt led to the bible to read
Psalm 139:13-14, which states, “FOR YOU CREATED MY INMOST BEING; YOU KNIT ME TOGETHER IN MY MOTHER‘S WOMB.  I PRAISE YOU BECAUSE I AM FEARFULLY AND WONDERFULLY MADE.”

As I read these verses over and over, I felt that I was at a crucial point in my life in which I had to make a decision to either believe the devil and spend the next month paralyzed with fear that something terrible was wrong with my baby or to accept God’s word, have faith that God created my baby and trust that He would bring my baby safely into this world healthy.

I chose at that very moment to TRUST the Lord with all my heart, all my mind, all my strength.  I gave the Lord complete control over this little unborn baby and stepped out in faith that all would be well.

One month later, I returned to the hospital to have another ultrasound.  As the doctor and technician viewed the baby through the ultrasound machine, the doctor finally said to me, “There is no medical explanation, but the problem that you had last month has been resolved.  Your baby is fine.”

What a testimony of God’s healing power, faithfulness, and miraculous touch!!!

Yes, God’s word did back up His promise that my unborn child would be protected because God is the creator.  It is moments like this one that we need to cling to God’s promises and not lean on our own understanding.
