      I found the following article interesting because it mentions how decorated trees were used in holiday celebrations earlier than I realized. For example, the ancient Egyptians displayed decorated palm branches at the winter solstice, so the use of  a tree, or part of a tree, to represent resurrection pre-dates the Christian use of it by millennia. I didn’t know it went back that far.

      The article also provides links to some very nice Yule ornaments. They are reasonably priced, too.
