    • I definitely prefer liquid foundation over any other option.
My skin is oily/combination so I need a liquid foundation that will stay shine-free all day long.  My favorite foundations that I feel are the best on the market for reducing shine, are long lasting and promote a flawless complexion are listed below:

      1.  LANCOME: TEINT IDOLE ULTRA - Enduringly Divine & Comfortable Makeup 14-Hour Retouch-Free, Oil-Free.

      2.  MAKE UP FOR EVER:  MAT VELVET MATIFYING FOUNDATION

      3.  MARY KAY:  MEDIUM COVERAGE FOUNDATION

        • The best way to decide on which foundation color is the perfect match is to try the foundation BEFORE you buy it.
Apply the foundation directly to your jawline.  If the foundation color disappears, it is most likely the best choice.  If the color foundation looks too dark or way too white, it is not the best color.

If you go to a department store, Sephora or Ulta, you could inquire about having your foundation applied for you professionally.  Normally it does not cost anything.  This way you can make sure that you find the right shade of foundation that best coordinates with your skin color.  Also, make sure that it is the formula that you are looking for.

        • When I used to tan, I needed nothing.  Now, however, I like Clinique with a bronzer on top of that.  I’ve tried Mineral makeup but Im not too comfortable with it.  I dont think I get the proper coverage/coverage from the sun.

        • I use Beauticontrol products....Platinum Regeneration Foundation, wet/drys, and sometimes I’ll use the mineral makeup.

Your foundation shouldn’t look like you have foundation on...it should make your face appear flawless...not made up.  No lines....no smudges...flawless.  And it shouldn’t be darker than the rest of your skin either.

        • I actually work freelance for Smashbox Cosmetics. Such an amazing, amazing company. I do these cool How To videos with the team of makeup artists whom I adore and anyway, we’ve just launched this amazing new powder called HALO.  The kind of product you don’t need to even bother with a foundation.
Check it out, this powder actually makes your skin look younger in 10 minutes and after continuous use, it makes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles go away. I am totally addicted to it and so are all the girls in the smashbox office which considering all the products we make, is a big deal.
Check out the video. I would love, love, love to know what you all think.

        • My absolutely favorite foundation is MakeSense foundation from SeneGence. It feels like you have nothing on plus it is semi-permanent you can go swimming with it on and get out and pat you face with the towel and it is still there. I have rosacia and it covers that and stays covered all day. Plus it has an ingredient in it that creates a mechanical sheild equivalent to a SPF 15. I never get burned it protects my face from the sun.
          It is
          Non-smearing, long-lasting coverage.
Oil free - can be used on any skin type.
Non-comedogenic - does not clog pores.
Adapts to skin pigmentation – versatile in that one skin color may be able to use a range of up to three different shades (or vice-versa for tanning) because of the way the color pigments adapt to skin tones.
          Helps to reduce moisture loss.
Provides another layer of SenePlex Complex.
          Water-resistant.
