I’m having trouble keeping to excise plan and good eating plan
How do you keep motivated?
I am struggleing too. Time is mt major downfall. I am keeping at it because I have given myself permission to hav weak momments then I get up and start all over agian the next hour or day. The more I do so the fewer times the weak mements are happening to me.
I found a picture of myself that I loved how I looked, now I am not saying when I was in my 20’s. Something realistic. I did lose my weight after my twins and have a picture of me at 180. That is where I would like to get to again. I also kept a journal and will keep one again. I eat when I am stressed and these past 2 years have been pretty stressed.

I’ve found that being accountable with a couple of buddies has helped. I know I’m going to be asked on a regular basis how I’m doing with food and exercise. We also bounce other life issues off one another and that relieves the stress that causes me to over eat.
What I have learned is to eat my meals in smaller portions,preferably 12..I don’t like fad diets or calorie counting.I eat what I want but within moderation..My good friend and I power walk at the mall,and find an outfit and that’s what motivates me..
I can’t seem to get motivated to eat right and exercise either!! I know that I have to go to the gym. I know that I have to eat right. Yet, here I am thinking that maybe tomorrow I will do better. Unfortunately, tomorrow will come and go as every other day has and I will still be unmotivated!!
Ok, been here and done that myself.
Motivation is .... This Is Your Life! It’s a gift and it can be whatever you want it to be, you are who you want to be. Nobody else can decide it for you. Nobody!
You don’t even need a gym membership, you can walk for free! You can buy some cheap dumbells or use cans of food from the cupboard. You can use a chair so you don’t have to be down on the floor and... you can dance to your favorite music. ;oD
It’s about imagining yourself enjoying new recipes of good for you foods, it’s going on an adventure to ignite your taste buds without sugar, fats and tons of salt. And it’s actually a lot cheaper than fast foods or processed foods. Learn about foods that are good for us in times of stress.
And watch Dr Oz and/or The Biggest Loser... both are inspiration for grabbing some motivation to take care of ourselves.

the exercise bit is easy but the eating bit is hard i just have to keep telling myself that i need to be healthy for my family
Food and weight are really emotionally charged issues. And, so much of it is cultural for many of us. Families gathered around food. Friends gather around food. Eating is pleasurable, boosts our endorphins, gives us comfort, nourishes both our souls and our bodies. I believe that’s why so many of us struggle to keep a normal healthy weight. For us, food is so much more than just sustenance. And there is no easy answer, each person is an individual with this.
For anyone struggling, you‘re in good company. It’s a global issue for sure.
