Does anyone here take Lyrica for their Fibro?  I started on it 3 months ago and it put 10pounds on and it seem like now my joints are swelling also. Any bad experiences here?

        • I was on Lyrica for 2 weeks and it put 20 pounds on me and my feet were sooooooooo swollen.  I switched to neurontin.

        • I just started Lyrica yesterday, and already I think I’m having side effects - swelling, dry mouth, etc.  My doc put me on Lyrica because neurontin just wasn’t working anymore.

        • I have not tried Lyrica, but everything that I have read and heard has been very negative.  Instead, I am taking 90 mg of Cymbalta.  It has not decreased ALL the pain, but it definitely has reduced much of the anxiety and depression.  It is also helpful for PMS!  I have been on it for about four months and I have not experienced weight gain.  Also, I have not had any negative side effects.

I am in a fibromyalgia pain management program that is 6 weeks long.  I go twice per week for 4-5 hours.  It includes physical therapy, occupational therapy and stress management skills training.  It has been very helpful and the purpose is to promote a higher quality of life.
