        • It is her newest book. All her stories take place in an area of Ireland and the characters have some connection.  This one is a hospital clinic for rehab of heart patients.  The main character is the Doctor.

I love how she writes about people that you would love to meet.  Each book has some connection with the next one.  She really has an insight into basic feelings.  It is an escape into the delightful stories.

        • No I haven’t picked that one up yet.... I went with True Colors by Kristan Hannah instead.  I am also reading The story of Edgar Sawtelle with thevintagediva’s group. Come check us out and offer up a book for April.

My MB reading started with Circle of Friends long before they made a movie..... I love her writing

        • What do you think of True Colors?  I will order that one too.  I have a Kindle that downloads books from Amazon.com.  Books were getting too expensive to buy and this way I get the book within a minute.

        • Thanks for the book recommendations.  I am always looking for another good read.

The Kindle is so great. I got it from Craig’s list at a discount and it was even new.  That was the end of December when it was sold out.  The new Kindle 2 has a longer battery life and is a little thinner.

I wish I could read all day but I need to work too.

Keep sending me titles of good books to read, please!

        • How do you like holding the kindle vs a book?

        • It is light and fits nicely in my hands.  I like to read lying down on my couch.  I am able to enlarge the print a little to make it easier to read too.

The print is some new type of ink lettering and not back lit like a computer screen.  That makes it much easier to read and it saves your place when you stop using it.

I never thought I would use an e-book PDA being a Librarian.  But now I am a big fan of the Kindle.

        • I am currently reading Whitethorn Woods by MB. I think I’ve read all her other books except the newest. I’ll put that on my list since I really enjoy reading her books.

        • I thought I have read all her books.  I don’t recall Whitethorn Woods.  What is it about?

My kindle is uncharged today and I am waiting for another wall charger.  It was damaged by the new puppy.  I hear the new Kindle 2 has more battery storage.

It is nice to find another MB fan.  Her books are so refreshing with such entertaining characters.

        • Whitethorn Woods is about the town of Rossmore where there is a well that many people think has spiritual powers and visit to share their dreams, fears and prayers. A new highway will bypass the town and everyone has an opinion about whether the town will benefit or suffer.  It’s very well done.  If you like her books, you will want to read this one.

        • Yes, now I recall the story.  All her books are about this town and the newest connects to Dublin as well.

I read them so quickly that I feel regret that they end too fast.

Once, when we were waiting for a flight out of London’s airport, I found in a bookstore a new one that was not released yet in the U.S.  I was so excited that I finished it before our layover in Chicago.

          Which one is your favorite?
