I ended my 21 days meat free last week.  I have been delaying updating everyone about it since then. Everyone here was very supportive and again I want to thank you all.  Beyond that, I am struggling with what else to report about what happened.   That is because, well, nothing really happened at all.

I got some serious attitude from my family about it at first.  Then it stopped.  A few people outside of this site had comments that were less than supportive and many people took it as a personal attack on ther meat eating habits.  I didn’t take the “bait” or engage them, and then that stopped too.

My family did not starve, the weight did not fall off me instantly, the world did not end and nothing at all happened.  Well nothing, except that I did it! I felt good about it and I tried some new foods and recipes.

Was it enough to change my eating habits? Yes, I believe I will continue to be meat free most days.  Was it enough to change my life?  No.  But it was enough to know I can!! And that was all I wanted to know.

        • I’ve stayed pretty meat free even beyond the 21 days. Joe made fried rice for Christmas breakfast and put some chopped steak in it. I picked out the big pieces which surprised him. He was impressed that I went through the effort.

Now with us following Weight Watchers he says that meat is really high in points so we‘re going to buy some fish today as well as some crab, shrimp and scallops.

          This makes me happy!estatic
