      My most recent rheumotologist recommended swimming as a non-impact exercise and I’ve had great results. If nothing else, it gets the blood flowing and a little movement.  I’ve been doing it since June and adding some water exercises and stretching.  It’s pretty important to limit the amount of time, though, as 5 - 10 minutes is my max!  I know it won’t work for everyone, but it’s worth a shot.
