I’m SO in the dark on this...I have a female mini-schnauzer, as of today she is 11 months old and I think she is pregnant??My husband says she is. I know she needs to go to the vet and I will take her. But this little girl is so active and I’m glad she is, but how can I make this little cutie of mine understand that she needs to take it easy and quit her jumping and running (like crazy).
I still feel that she thinks that she still a baby and to me she is..We didn’t want her to get pregnant so soon. Me and my husband we‘re wanting her have (her babies) when she was 1 or sometime after that, her b-day is next month(May 20th), so now I’m freaking out...Help???
We are excited about this, but this is MY baby..Am I freaking out for NO reason??

        • See what the vet says...did she “hook up” that you know of? If she did hook up was it a small breed like her?  If it was a bigger breed you may have some problems.  My sister’s dog was accidently breed with a male that looked small, but he had big dogs in his background and so did her dog and only 1 of 5 puppies survived, she was just too small for the puppies she had.  I wish you the BEST of luck and please keep us posted!

        • 57haddream: She did “hook up” with our male mini-schnauzer(Buster) and they did the “deed” often..I did call the vet today and they said for us to wait for about a month, because it takes that long for the babies to develop, so at the end of May I need to make an appt for the 1st of June for a full check-up,we will know how many babies she will be carrying..
Me and husband only want her to have this one litter, so this will be her only babies, regardless of how many she has. Is that wrong of us? Cause to be honest I don’t want her too, only this one..
