Sunday the 11th marked a full week since I’d started taking Mannatech’s Osolean, as promoted by our own happymomma.

In addition to taking the twice-daily dose of Osolean, I am doing a 20-minute mile each night on my treadmill. Other than that, I’ve been living my life pretty much according to normal.

I've been practicing some portion control (no eating out, no unhealthy snacks, but have been having a big bowl of cereal (Special K and fat free milk) in the mornings, a ham and cheese sandwich, chips and low-fat cottage cheese at lunch and a typical dinner of rice and chicken and vegetables each night. Nothing drastically "healthy" about any of it, and some not even the best choices available (potato chips), but I've been neither starving nor pigging out.

So... what can I report after exactly 7 days?

I've lost 3 pounds, and 1 and 1/2 inches in my waist!

Osolean claims that all you have to do is eliminate 500 calories from your regular diet to see results. That was easy enough for me (buh-bye candy!), and then adding in the exercise and moderate eating has just amped it up.

I will be making further changes next week by getting back on my NutriSystem plan, and by the end of the month I hope to increase my treadmill time. I know that each step I take will bring me closer to my goals.

Lots of ladies have had questions about the Osolean, and I’m a hard-sell on stuff like this, but I have to say it has thus far lived up to its claims. Plus, it’s really easy to integrate into your day.

I’m very excited to see what the next few weeks will bring—or take away! ;)

        • If you mix it with coffee or food, you don’t really taste it at all.

The instructions say that for the best effect, you should mix it with 8 oz. of water and drink 20 minutes before eating. However, it can also be added to juice, coffee, yogurt/cottage cheese and/or sprinkled on your food(s).

With the exception of one morning when I slept in and woke up hungry (and just mixed it in my cereal), I drink it in water every day, twice a day.

The flavor most closely resembles skim milk. It’s very mild in taste. I actually prefer the method of drinking it in water, since the water helps to make me feel fuller when I’m eating.

        • Oh, you go girl! Nutrisystem will guide you back toward low glycemic, and that will ramp it up even more. Nothing - nothing has ever taken the inches off my torso like Osolean, and I 'cheat' alot. tongue out
I can't imagine it plain in water. I'm trying to talk myself into trying it that way. I love it in my coffee, or mixed with my Glycoslim shake, but I still mix it with my goat's milk.
I am not a hard sell, but I am hard to please once I buy. Mannatech has never let me down. All their products live up to their claims.
Goodbye belly fat - hello perfect body you! :)
So, you going to join us in NOLA???? Or does it conflict with your other trip?

        • That belly fat is what I totally want to say goodbye to!

I don’t know the NOLA details. We‘re heading to Michigan on May 16th and will return on the 23rd. Our route won’t take us anywhere near NOLA, and I imagine a sidetrip is out of the question. tongue out

        • The first weekend a group is planning on a get together in New Orleans - private group - I was assuming you’d be there since it is a home skip and jump.

        • Thanks, Neicy, and good luck to you, too! I believe that no matter what approach we take, it’s just like anything else: you have to really want it. And I really, REALLY want to be healthier.

        • LOL - it got swapped to private because some one was stalking (or being stalked rather.) It is MsLorid’s group. You can find it and request admission. I’d dig up the link but am running to town to mail out some soap orders. woohoo!

        • Great Lu,
Sorry it took me so long. I paid late fees. LOL We need to talk about small candles with wicks for my Spa Boxes. I really like adding that in.

        • Lu - are you going to NOLA? My hubby is being so funny about it. I sent him a pic of some sexy leather chaps (was looking for horse chaps originally) and asked if he thought I needed some - he asked if I wanted them for the NOLA trip. (He has not EVEN seen the ‘party’ posts.) LOL
I think it needs to stay that way.

        • Okay, there the messages are. Weird. I’d closed this page and reopened it like six times, but actually had to add my own message before I could see yours! ohhhh

Thanks Cynthia! Motivation is running high over here.

Linni, I’m so glad you‘re home, and that you’ll be joining us on this journey. And I love your new picture. You look fabulous!!

        • Heather, I am looking forward to your week two results... and hearing from Cynthia how she is doing. Linni, I hope yours arrives tomorrow. I guess we’ll all have to start a topic and post results. Hopefully even Darla’s will be in by Wednesday when we have our call. I had a major cheat day today, but today is gone in less than an hour. LOL Sunday’s are my day to enjoy whatever I want. Seeing how I am anticipating a visit from Aunt Flow, chocolate was heavy on my menu today.. and I made home made french bread. I am so glad I have a house full of kids to assist me with self control. We never have left overs, and rarely get seconds. LOL
