My 11 yr old son had to do a presentation today about theodore roosevelt.  He had to write a report about his life, memorize it, and then present to all the classes at his school, teachers, and parents could go.]
I went and he was amazing.
He had to dress like President Theodore Roosevelt.
You could not talk to him, he had a button on his card and you had to push it and then he gave his presentation.
His teacher drew a mustache(spelled) out of masscara for him he looked so cute, he had a suit and tie on.
He present the life of President Theodore Roosevelt and kept eye contact with me when he did it...he was GREAT!!!
I teased him this morning he said he felt like he was going to faint on the way to school and I told him we was going to be ok. He asked if I was coming and I said yes.
He looked at with all seriousness and said “mom, you will take a shower and dress nice right?” now i thought for a minute I take a shower everyday, and I think I dress nice.
But i figured out why he said that i took him to school in my pj’s and hadnt taken a shower yet.
He said “it would really be embarassing if you came in your pj’s and not have taken a shower.
You dont know how tempting it was to stay in my pj’s without a shower and go to his presentation, but I just couldnt do that to him.
But he did an awesome job and he got an A, he was so excited when he came home and told me MOM I PASSED!!!!
I looked at him and said “Mathew I never doubted that you wouldnt pass, i knew you could do it.”
He got to go out to eat for supper tonight as a reward for his awesome job well done.
PROUD MOM OF A 5TH GRADER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
